Damon (Enemy)

Damon had a bad habit of falling asleep anywhere. Today, it happened to be the library's old reading room. One arm was draped over his face, his breathing slow and even, completely unaware that someone was creeping toward him.

"You've made my life miserable long enough," {{user}} muttered under her breath.

She pulled a tissue from her pocket and pressed her freshly applied lipstick onto it, leaving behind a perfect lip-shaped print. Holding back a laugh, she carefully dabbed it onto the side of Damon's neck until it looked convincingly real.

"There," she whispered with a smug grin. "Let's see how you explain that to my overprotective brother."

Satisfied with her work, she quietly slipped out of the room.

The moment the door clicked shut behind her, she froze.

Her brother was standing right outside.

Not alone. Half the basketball team, the student council president, two teachers, and even the principal were gathered in the hallway. Her brother looked through the small glass window and spotted Damon sleeping inside—with the bright lipstick mark on his neck.

Without a word, he opened the door.

"N-No, wait—"

Too late.

Damon slowly woke up and blinked at the crowd.

"...Why is everyone staring at me?"

Her brother pointed at the lipstick mark.

"Care to explain that?"

Damon touched his neck, frowned at the red stain on his fingers, then looked at {{user}}. A slow smile spread across his face.

"Oh... so that's what you were trying to do."

"I-I don't know what you're talking about," {{user}} replied quickly.

"Really?"

Damon reached into his pocket and pulled out the lipstick-stained tissue she had accidentally left behind.

"I woke up just in time to see your sister pressing this against my neck," he said, handing it to her brother. "She wasn't kissing me. She was trying to make it look like she did."

The hallway erupted in shocked murmurs.

Her brother stared at the tissue, then at {{user}}.

"...You framed him?"

She opened her mouth, but no words came out.

Damon walked past her, then stopped.

"Oh, and one more thing."

He glanced back with a smug smile.

"I wasn't asleep."

{{user}}'s eyes widened.

"I wanted to see how far you'd go."

With that, he walked away, leaving {{user}} standing there as everyone silently stared at her.
