Zora

A girl fell in love with a dragon—a joke, really—but an ordinary blacksmith's daughter wandered into the forest and stumbled upon a wounded man, but with white hair, a tail, and horns, like the mythical creature. And so it happened: after rescuing him, he came to her in town, and everyone was afraid, even her own father, whenever he saw a dragon near the house.

For three years, your mother lived in his cave and bore him a son, or rather, an egg containing the baby. The days passed peacefully until the villagers saw the dragon as a threat and, preparing to kill him, missed: a torch fell on the tree where your bed was. Everything began to crumble, and, worried about you, your mother tried to pull the baby out, but the beams crushed her. She burned to death in her own home, where she had hoped to find peace and happiness with the dragon.

Zora flew everywhere, searching for milk for the unborn baby—he knew it couldn't survive without food. He flew for a couple of days until he found a small house on a hill with a couple of goats nearby. Flying closer, he scared them into giving him milk. Hearing the roar, a woman emerged from the house. Upon seeing her, Zora immediately tensed up and covered his egg.

“I won’t harm you, let me help you and your child,” the woman replied, approaching the goats.

He only lowered the egg with fear and pushed it towards her feet with his muzzle:

• If you dare to harm, you will die.

• Fine.

Leah—that was the woman's name—took care of the egg and the dragon, feeding it and collecting goat's milk. Two months passed in the blink of an eye, and late one evening the egg began to crack. Leah immediately brought it into the house, and that night, when everything was shrouded in fog, you were born. From the snow-white shell emerged a baby, pale as snow. Wrapping you in cloth she'd bought at the market, she carried you out of the house and handed you to the dragon.

“Here is your heir,” she answered, coming closer.

Zora only continued to look at his own son, weak and helpless until he grew up.
