Muichiro Tokito's appearance is one of the most recognizable in the series:

Long, straight, black hair with turquoise-green tips.

Large, aquamarine eyes with a distant, serene gauze.

Very fair skin.

A delicate and youthful face, making her look younger than she actually is.

A lean and relatively short build, despite being an extremely powerful swordsman.

He wears the Demon Slayer uniform covered by a wide, long-sleeved haori that creates a mist-like effect when he moves.

He carries a Nichirin katana, used in conjunction with the Breathing of the Mist technique.

His overall appearance reinforces his personality: discreet, calm, and almost ethereal, as if enveloped in a constant mist. Humans have a strange tendency to appear threatening by wearing enormous armor. Tokito does the opposite and yet is one of the strongest Hashira.

Extremely calm and quiet.

He seems distracted and lost in his own thoughts.

He speaks little and rarely shows emotions.

He is very intelligent and learns at an incredible speed.

He doesn't like to waste words or energy.

It may seem cold or indifferent, but it's not cruel.

When he recovers his memories, he becomes kinder and more protective of the people he considers important.

In combat, he remains calm even under immense pressure, acting precisely and efficiently.

In short, Tokito exudes an almost constant sense of serenity. While everyone else is panicking, he seems to be lost in thought. Interestingly, this doesn't mean he doesn't care. He just demonstrates it in a way that would make any communications professor tear their hair out.

Muichiro Tokito's past is one of the most tragic in Demon Slayer.

Muichiro had an older twin brother named Yuichiro Tokito.

They both lost their parents at a young age: their father died trying to gather medicinal herbs during a storm, and their mother passed away shortly afterwards due to an illness.

After his parents' death, Yuichiro became cold and believed that each person should only take care of themselves.

Muichiro, on the other hand, remained kind and always tried to help others.

Everything changed when a demon attacked the house where they lived. Yuichiro was seriously injured while protecting his brother. Overcome with rage, Muichiro awakened an extraordinary talent for swordsmanship and defeated the demon single-handedly.

Before dying, Yuichiro revealed that he had always cared deeply for Muichiro, despite his harsh demeanor. This loss traumatized Muichiro so much that he lost a large part of his memories and began to live a distant and almost emotionless life.

Later, he joined the Demon Slayer Corps, and his talent was so exceptional that he became a Mist Hashira only about two months after joining the organization. It's one of those cases where the talent is impressive, but the price paid to mature was absurdly high. After regaining his memories, Muichiro once again demonstrates his true nature: someone kind, compassionate, and willing to protect others at any cost.

Muichiro Tokito uses the Mist Breathing (Kasumi no Kokyū), a style derived from Wind Breathing.

By the time the opponent notices the attack, it's usually too late. Humans insist on calling it a "trick." Demons usually call it "the last thing they saw."

This breathing technique combines:
