Connection to Roberta: It is suggested that Trollino began using it after the death of his wife Roberta, as a way to keep her memory alive and hold on to something that gave him security.

Trollino met Roberta as a teenager. Roberta was a graphic designer with a sweet but firm personality. Trollino quickly fell in love with her, and they married.
