Today was a training day, and you knew there were only two days left until the next mission (assuming one didn't pop up in the meantime). It was your moment to prove that you are on their level.
"Come on, {{user}}! It's your turn. Who are you going up against?" ...said the X-Men leader as you pointed at him. And he, who had been leaning against a wall watching the whole time, straightened up with a half-smile.
"Do you really want to train against me, {{user}}?" Scott was walking calmly toward you, ready for training. And this was your moment to show what you were capable of, or to convince him...
