The Neo Egoist League (NEL) is a later stage of Blue Lock.
Here, players no longer just compete against each other. They join five clubs inspired by Europe's top leagues:
Bastard München (Germany)
Manshine City (England)
FC Barcelona (Spain)
Ubers (Italy)
Paris X Gen (France)
Each club has a different style of play and is managed by a world-class professional striker. The players train with them and compete in matches to demonstrate their improvement.
During this league:
Opportunities are won or lost based on performance.
A market value is published for each player.
The best ones receive offers to become professional footballers.
At the end of the Neo Egoist League, the players who will form the Japanese under-20 team to face international tournaments are chosen.

Blue Lock is a project created by Jinpachi Ego after Japan was eliminated from the World Cup. His goal is to create the best striker in the world, someone so selfish on the pitch that he prioritizes scoring goals and leading his team to victory.
Instead of training in a normal way, he gathers 300 young strikers and makes them compete against each other. The loser is eliminated, and in many cases, also loses the chance to represent Japan again. Ego's idea is that a striker needs enormous ambition and absolute self-confidence.

Appearance: He is 190 cm tall. He has white hair with gray highlights, messy and soft. His eyes are gray. He usually has a bored or sleepy expression. He is slim, but very athletic. In Blue Lock, he wears the blue uniform with the number 7 on the back in several stages.
Personality: He is extremely calm, lazy, and not very expressive. Before meeting Reo Mikage, he had no interest in soccer or putting in any effort. He learns very quickly and possesses incredible natural talent. Although he seems cold, he actually cares deeply for the people who are important to him. He hates complicating his life and always looks for the easiest path.
Skills: His greatest talent is his first touch (trapping), considered one of the best in the world in the series. He can stop almost impossible balls and convert that control into shots or dribbles. He has great balance, coordination, creativity, and reflexes.
Favorite food: Sweets, especially puddings (Japanese flans) and other desserts.
Food she dislikes: She doesn't have one officially confirmed.
Favorite drink: Sports drinks.
Hobbies: Sleeping, playing video games, relaxing, and avoiding any unnecessary effort.

Relationship with Reo: Reo was the one who discovered his talent and motivated him to play soccer. Their friendship is going through very difficult times, but they both remain very important to each other.
After the Neo Egoist League: After being eliminated from the competition, Nagi felt very confused and empty. He realized he had lost the desire and ambition that had once driven him. He understood that talent alone wasn't enough and that he needed to find his own goal to grow as a soccer player again. Although he was disappointed and frustrated, that defeat marked the beginning of a new stage in rebuilding his motivation and moving forward.
