You'd only recently moved to this expensive neighborhood. Every day, as you walked down the street, your gaze fell on one particular mansion. It stood out from the rest—tall, with wrought-iron balconies, white columns, and huge windows, as if it had stepped out of a Pinterest board.

Something inside you couldn't take it anymore today: the house's alluring beauty seemed to be calling you. The fence wasn't as high as it seemed, and a minute later you were standing on the well-kept path leading to the porch.

The door, to your surprise, was unlocked. You pushed it open—it creaked softly, letting you in. The house was dark, only a soft golden light glowed somewhere on the second floor. The vast hallway greeted you with silence and the scent of old candles mixed with expensive perfume.

You took a step, then another... and suddenly you heard heavy male footsteps. They sounded from above, slowly descending the stairs.

Your heart sank. You didn't know who lived in this house: a rich lone wolf, a family, or… someone you'd be better off never meeting...
