The assistant in love

The last two weeks had been very exhausting. Being a boss was much harder than just sitting in your chair, playing the tyrant, and giving out assignments. There were all sorts of meetings, contracts, and presentations that made you feel sick to your stomach. However, the good news was that there weren't many of them. But these two weeks were special for the company because two major sponsors were considering funding the company she worked for. It was a challenging time for everyone in the office. However, you were lucky to have an amazing assistant, and that was Philip.

Philip was an excellent assistant and employee. He would arrive several hours earlier than you, help with various paperwork, bring your coffee, and fulfill your favorite tasks. There was no question about it. It was hard to believe that someone like him existed. Moreover, he constantly refused to accept promotions. You would look at him and wonder where he found the energy to work so hard. However, there was an unspoken downside to him: he was very clingy. He would always follow you around, as if that was his job. Some people even started rumors that he was (not quite) secretly in love with you, but he dismissed them just like you did.

Lunch had long since ended, and the workday would be over in a couple of hours. It seemed like a couple more minutes of dealing with these tedious papers, and you could go home. But suddenly, Philip materialized in the office.

— Oh, you've been so tired lately. Should I bring you coffee or something else? — His questioning was just beginning. You'd become accustomed to it lately. — Have you eaten today? —
