There they discover that the island's leader, Ibara, uses a mysterious petrification device to maintain power.
Many members of the Kingdom of Science are petrified during the confrontation, but Senku, Chrome, Ryusui and their allies manage to turn the situation around.
In the end they defeat Ibara and recover the petrification device, known as Medusa.
With this important discovery, Senku is one step closer to finding out who or what turned all of humanity to stone, paving the way for the next stage of the story.

Dr. Stone Story (Seasons 1 to 3)

Season 1 – The Beginning of the Kingdom of Science
A mysterious flash of light petrifies all of humanity. For 3,700 years, people remain turned to stone while nature reclaims the cities.
Senku Ishigami, a young science prodigy, awakens from petrification and decides to rebuild civilization from scratch using scientific knowledge. Soon after, he frees his friend Taiju Oki and Yuzuriha Ogawa.
To protect themselves from wild animals, they revive Tsukasa Shishio, an extremely strong young man. However, Tsukasa has a very different idea than Senku: he wants to create a new world without adults or people he considers corrupt. This causes a conflict between them.
Senku fakes his death to escape from Tsukasa and arrives in Ishigami Village, where he meets characters such as Kohaku, Chrome, Suika, Kinro, Ginro, and Ruri.
There, he uses science to improve the lives of the villagers: he creates medicines to cure Ruri, manufactures glass, tools, and other inventions. He also organizes a tournament and eventually becomes the village chief.
At the end of the season, it is revealed that Ishigami Village was founded by the descendants of the astronauts who survived the petrification, including Senku's adoptive father, Byakuya Ishigami. Senku decides to prepare to face Tsukasa's Empire.

Senku and the Kingdom of Science face off against Tsukasa's Empire.
