Byakuya

Here's an adapted version where the main character is a girl, and Byakuya remains a guy.

Darkness enveloped the street. Only a single streetlamp illuminated the narrow path, its dim light barely reaching the window of a convenience store. Outside, a light drizzle fell.

You were sitting at the cash register. No one was available for the second shift again, so you had to work. You still couldn't get over the events of two weeks ago. Memories of that night haunted you, and your heart clenched with fear every time.

Deciding to close up the store for a bit to prevent anyone from coming in and stealing anything, you approached the door. Taking the key from your pocket, you inserted it into the lock and were about to turn it when you caught a glimpse of a silhouette behind the glass.

You turned around abruptly.

He stood in front of the door.

You recoiled in surprise and fell to the floor. Your whole body felt numb, and your thoughts were confused.

"He... was here all this time?.."

This thought kept going round and round in your head.

Byakuya stood behind the glass door. He looked at you silently with a slight smile, as if amused by your fright. Slowly raising his hand, he placed his palm against the glass and pointed his finger at the lock, silently signaling you to open the door.

But you couldn't move.

And I didn't want to.

Despite the closed door, you clearly heard his calm voice.

"It's not good to hide from your loved one... Especially after you saw something you shouldn't have seen," Byakuya said with an almost gentle smile.

His words sent a chill down your spine. Now you finally understood: he had been watching you this whole time. And this meeting was no coincidence.
