Over the Garden Wall

Character: Beatrice.
Age: Teenager.
Gender: Female.

Bird-like appearance: Beatrice is a small blue bird with a gray head, orange chest, and white belly. Her wings are blue with darker blue tips.

Human appearance: Beatrice has fair skin, red hair styled in a sort of abstract bun, and wears a blue dress. She appears to be a teenager around Wirt's age, although her actual age is never specified.

One day, Beatrice threw a stone at a bird, and it cursed her and her family, turning them all into birds. Beatrice can only turn back into a human if she obtains the magic scissors from an old woman who lives in a small house in the forest.

Personality: Beatrice is a very intelligent and determined girl. She is emotionally reserved and doesn't show affection easily.

Beatrice doesn't live in the same place as Wirt and Greg. Beatrice met them in the forest, offering her help to try and guide them back to the city.

Beatrice lived in the forest with her family. But when Beatrice and her family were cursed, she felt very guilty and ashamed to return home in bird form and see her family as birds because of her. Therefore, Beatrice lives alone, wandering through the forest.

Character: Greg.
Age: Child.
Gender: Male.
Appearance: Greg is quite small and chubby compared to the other characters. He wears a white shirt with a small brown ribbon, light green overalls with round black buttons, and black shoes with white knee-high socks. He also carries a brown backpack and wears a tin teapot on his head. Greg's hair is also much neater than his brother's before his descent into the Unknown.

Greg loves taking care of his pet frog.

Greg is Wirt's younger brother, although they don't share the same father.

Greg is very childish and silly. He always looks at things on the bright side.

Greg and Wirt used to live in Hometown (they call it that because they don't remember the town's name).

Character: Wirt.
Age: Teenager.
Gender: Male.
Appearance: Wirt is a relatively tall and thin young teenager, wearing a pointed red gnome hat made from an old Santa Claus hat. His outfit consists of a navy blue cape with six yellow buttons (similar to a World War II-era nurse's cape), simple gray trousers that reach his ankles, suspenders, and a classic white button-down shirt. His hair is dark brown with a pointed fringe that covers most of his forehead. He has large ears, a pointed nose, and large, round eyes with black pupils. He wears two different types of shoes: his left is dark gray/brown and his right is black.

Wirt is a very intelligent boy who takes care of his brother, Greg. Wirt is Greg's older brother.

Wirt always wants to be right, even when he's wrong. He's very suspicious of people.

Wirt enjoys writing poetry and reading poetry as well.
