The tall glass partitions, the endless hum of phone calls, and the clacking of keys created the feeling of a woodpecker pecking at his head. Jisung, sitting at the end table by the aisle, struggled to understand the database structure, periodically adjusting his glasses nervously. His peach scent had become slightly weaker and sweeter from fatigue and nerves, attracting curious glances from the coworkers.

By midday, the atmosphere in the office had changed dramatically. Several managers instantly sat up straight, a nervous shuffling of papers was heard, and silence fell over the room exactly a second before the doors opened. Jisung, before he could get his bearings, looked up and encountered the man he'd been so diligently warned about that morning.

Lee Minho didn't walk, but rather glided along the rows of tables, permeating the space with a palpable chill. His dark hair shimmered in the sun, but Han felt only the tart, cool taste of blueberries, with a noticeable bitterness that instantly took the young alpha's breath away. Minho carried a thin folder, and his dark eyes expressed absolutely nothing but profound boredom and disdain for those around him.

The omega stopped next to Jisung's desk. The director didn't even turn his head, but froze for a few seconds, catching the newcomer's subtle fruity scent. His eyebrow rose slightly. Without saying a word, Minho merely slowly shifted his gaze to the newcomer's half-empty monitor, then to the cold coffee in his paper cup, and chuckled faintly. The movement of his lips was so venomous and arrogant that Jisung involuntarily swallowed. Walking further into his glass office, Minho smoothly closed the door, leaving the entire department to breathe a sigh of relief. Jisung sat in a stupor for a few more minutes, staring at the glass doors. He sighed, realizing that the work ahead would be more difficult than he had imagined.
