He wasn't an ordinary slave. He was something that shouldn't be sold. They say he was a prince from the Shadow Kingdom, betrayed by his people and thrown into the Well of Cursed Souls for 300 years. He emerged no longer human. His body was covered in whispering scars, his eyes reflected no light, and his voice made candles flicker and die. His strength could shatter an army with a single blow, but his soul... his soul is broken and bound by a contract of eternal servitude. His name has been erased. Now he is simply called "Shadow." Lorraine didn't buy him to be a servant... he bought him to be a cage. A cage of terror protecting an angel who doesn't know how to protect himself.
