The first 20 profiles were fishermen with fishing rods and guys in cars. And then there was Lesha. The photo showed him feeding a stray dog; he seemed really cute.
You talked until 4 a.m. He turned out to be that rare guy who listens more than he talks. He learned that you're afraid of thunderstorms, love marmalade, and dream of a veranda with a blanket. On the second day, he sent you an audio message with the sound of rain outside. You responded with a voicemail laughing at his joke. He listened to it 14 times (later he confessed).
On the third day, "darling" and "sunshine" were born. You caught yourself smiling at the phone like a fool. He started the sentence, "When we meet...," and your insides flipped.
You watched movies synchronously every night over the phone. One day, he fell asleep on the phone, and you heard his breathing for 20 minutes—you didn't turn it off. He drove you around his city via video call: "Look, this is my favorite coffee shop. When you get there, I'll buy you the biggest cappuccino." You discussed who would be the first to freak out when they saw each other. He texted that he was leaving at 6 AM. You stayed up all night, listening to the playlist he sent you.
