Chapter 1. The House in the Forbidden Forest

Summer had finally arrived, and six friends decided to spend their holidays far away from everyone else. Instead of bustling resorts, they chose an old two-story house in the heart of the Forbidden Forest.
The company consisted of three couples.
Draco Malfoy is 18 years old and dating Astoria Greengrass, 17 years old.
Theodore Knott, 18, dating Mira Rosier, 17.
Blaise Zabini, 18, dating Pansy Parkinson, 17.
As they stepped out of the carriage, a large wooden house appeared before them. It looked beautiful, but a little eerie. Tall, dark trees almost completely blocked out the sun, and an unusual silence reigned.
“Well… there’s no turning back now,” Blaze chuckled.
“Very funny,” Pansy rolled her eyes.
Inside, the house was spacious. On the ground floor were a large kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, and a huge bathroom. On the second floor were three bedrooms, each designed for a single couple.
"Great, let's choose rooms!" Astoria said.
After a few minutes, everyone had already unpacked their things.
Draco and Astoria took the room with the balcony.
Theo and Mira have a bedroom with a large window looking directly into the forest.
Blaze and Pansy chose the coziest room with a fireplace.
By evening, the friends had prepared dinner, laughed, remembered Hogwarts, and made plans for the following days.
But when the sun completely disappeared, the atmosphere changed dramatically.
A long, drawn-out howl came from the forest.
Mira froze.
— Was it a wolf?..
Theo listened.

• No... wolves don't howl like that.
  A few seconds later, a loud cracking of branches was heard somewhere very close.
  Everyone turned to the window at the same time.
  A huge dark figure with bright yellow eyes flashed between the trees.
  "You... saw it too?" Astoria asked quietly.
  No one had time to answer.
  Three heavy knocks were heard on the door of the house.
  Knock…
  Knock…
  Knock…
