Akito appears to be an easygoing guy at first. However, his personality drastically changes when music is involved, becoming hot-blooded and passionate to the point where people find him scary.[2] He respects anyone who is passionate about their interest and hates half-hearted people. He acts polite towards acquaintances and strangers, but when in the presence of people he is familiar with, he drops this act, showing his true gruff personality. Although Akito can be arrogant at times and tends to play pranks on his seniors, he is a dependable and caring person.

When Akito meets someone new, he puts on a charming persona, which Toya calls his "nice-guy persona" and seems to dislike.[3] He is good at maintaining his polite facade and uses it when interacting with customers at his workplace.[4

Toya is quiet and calm but has a strong mind. His face is often deadpan, and people other than Akito and Tsukasa have difficulty reading his expressions. When people talk to him, they usually mistake him for being rude, as he is blunt and often misphrases his statements. Until becoming part of Vivid BAD SQUAD, he wasn't one to smile frequently. Despite his stoic demeanor, he is kind and quick to help others. He can occasionally be airheaded or gullible.

He is good at studying and gets high grades, a trait that he shares with Kohane. He can sometimes be strict with Akito about the latter neglecting his studies.

An is a cool and candid girl with an unyielding spirit. She acts very affectionate towards her close friends, and is very kind and forgiving. She leaves a strong impression on others and is hard to forget. An encourages those around her to be the best they can. However, her and Akito often bicker due to their long-standing rivalry.

When An is part of the disciplinary committee at Kamiyama, she gets nervous when asking someone to follow the rules, getting shaky and stuttering when asking someone to tuck in their shirt.[4]

Kohane is very kindhearted and shy. Prior to meeting An and joining Vivid BAD SQUAD, she was a quiet, bashful girl who lacked self-confidence and didn't like being in public. After the main story, she becomes more open and brave. She slowly gains more confidence and no longer has problems communicating. However, on occasion, she still gets nervous and intimidated around people like Akito or Toya, since they used to be rivals.

Kohane is a diligent person and works hard to keep up with the rest of her unit. Although she is the most inexperienced member, others have noted her to be incredibly good. In the event Awakening Beat, Kohane reaches new levels of confidence and her singing becomes even more powerful than before. Despite her shyness, it is shown that she loves extreme things, such as roller coasters, bungee jumping, and her pet snake.

Toya's father was a famous classical musician and trained Toya and his two older brothers in classical music from a very young age, specifically piano and violin. His father would isolate Toya and force him to study classical music at all hours of the day. This caused him to despise his father, and by association, the entirety of classical music. As such, he started performing street music to rebel against his father and eventually met Akito while singing on the street.

He sang together with Akito under the name BAD DOGS before forming Vivid BAD SQUAD with An and Kohane. Even after joining Vivid BAD SQUAD, he still operates under the BAD DOGS unit with Akito.

As a first year, Toya was classmates with Nene in Class 1-B. As a second year, he is classmates with Mizuki in class 2-B.

When Akito was in elementary school, he played for a soccer team named Shibuya Diamonds. While he was one of the best on the team, he decided to quit after him and his team lost an important tournament.[1] Some time after he quit playing soccer, his sister Ena brought him to a summer festival where she encouraged him to try singing. This kickstarted his interest in street music, which eventually grew into the dream of surpassing the legendary music event RAD WEEKEND. He looks up to Shiraishi Ken, An's father who performed in RAD WEEKEND, and practices hard to achieve his dream.

He sang together with Toya under the name BAD DOGS before forming Vivid BAD SQUAD with An and Kohane. Even after joining Vivid BAD SQUAD, he still operates under the BAD DOGS unit with Toya.

His father is an artist, and is shown to be emotionally neglectful to both him and his older sister. Their mother is rarely mentioned in-game.

As a second year, Akito is classmates with An and Nene in class 2-A.

An is the daughter of the popular former musician Shiraishi Ken, who now owns a popular live cafe & bar called WEEKEND GARAGE, where she sometimes worked until the end of On Your Feet. An hopes to one day surpass the legendary event he put on, called RAD WEEKEND. She has been surrounded by music ever since she was young, and began singing partially because she felt a natural connection to it, and partially because she wanted to be like her dad.[1] She has a lot of connections in the street music scene, due to being Ken's daughter.

When Kohane came back to WEEKEND GARAGE after hearing An sing there, An invited Kohane to form a group with her, calling themselves Vivids. After some rivalry and conflict, they join Akito and Toya of BAD DOGS to become Vivid BAD SQUAD, although she and Kohane are still active as Vivids.

In his first year, An was classmates with Mizuki in class 1-A. In her second year, she is classmates with Akito and Nene. She is a member of the disciplinary committee, joining because a friend from middle school kept bugging her to.[2]. She also occasionally helps out the basketball team by being a stand-in for them,[3] an interest she shares with her childhood friend Haruka.

One day, while trying to buy a CD for her mother, Kohane gets lost and ends up on Vivid Street. She enters the live cafe WEEKEND GARAGE, stumbling upon a performance by An and her fellow musicians. Kohane is captivated by An's music and comes back to the cafe to hear her sing. During the second visit, she is invited by An to sing together. Encouraged by An, the two form a duo known as Vivids. After competing against the duo BAD DOGS, comprised of Akito and Toya, Kohane and An team up with them to become Vivid BAD SQUAD and work towards their shared goal of surpassing the music event RAD WEEKEND.

Kohane's dad is a photographer, and when she was in kindergarten, the two adopted a white snake they named Count Pearl.[1][2] Kohane feels a sisterly bond with Count Pearl and considers her family, claiming that she can tell what the snake is thinking or feeling.[3]

As a first year, Kohane was classmates with Shiho and Minori in class 1-A. As a second year, she is classmates with Ichika and Honami in class 2-A. Kohane was also a member of the animal care committee with Minori, but switched over to the beautification committee during her second year.

Her outfit consists of a white printed T-shirt with a red collar and a purple sweatshirt under a gray jacket with black and white details, and ripped black jeans with a red belt and long gray stripes down the back. She wears a long necklace with a silver triangular pendant and large gray sneakers with red laces. She also wears large blue headphones. The image on her T-shirt shows a light gray box with a cow skull outlined in white.

Her second outfit consists of a black turtleneck with subtle wavy patterns, under which a long, worn white shirt is visible, and gray trousers with ripped knees and a blue stripe down the left leg. She wears a navy blazer with white lapels, a blue hem, and blue cuffs; the word "DerMond" (German for "the moon") is written on a tag in the left pocket, and "VERSTECKT MONAT" (German for "hidden month") is written in bold on the back. She wears a long silver necklace and white and blue trainers.

In his second year, he wears a white sweatshirt with the letter "n" printed on a small tag on the right side of the hem, under a green denim jacket with frayed areas, red stripes on the sleeves, and a red belt with the word "worth" printed along its length, hanging from the right pocket. He wears black jeans with frayed holes at the knees and a dangling red belt with a white stripe down the center.

Toya has piercing gray eyes and a mole under the corner of her left eye. Her hair is short and two-toned: the right side is dark blue and the left side is light blue. Her voice is calm and serene.

She wears a pale yellow hoodie under a black and yellow jacket. She has on black sweatpants with two white stripes down the sides, along with a red plaid jacket tied around her waist. Her shoes are black and white with blue accents and yellow laces.

Her second outfit consists of a white sweatshirt with the word "TRACK" printed on the front, under a dark gray and orange jacket with the word "SCORCHING" printed diagonally across the front. She wears baggy black pants with a fuchsia pink fabric wrapped around her left knee and a blue and white belt, and dark gray and black sneakers with orange details. Her earrings are different; the left one is attached to a chain.

In his second year, he wears a black shirt with a light purple design around the mid-torso and the word "intrepid" printed across the front, as well as a longer white shirt underneath. He wears a black-and-white jacket with a yellow triangle on the left of the chest, black athletic pants with white stripes down the sides, and a yellow belt looped down on the right side.

Akito has olive-green eyes and messy orange hair with a dyed yellow streak on the left side of his center bangs. His voice is tough and powerful.

Her outfit consists of a tucked-in black shirt, white shorts with neon green accents and two black straps on each side hooked to the front and back, and a teal-and-white oversized jacket which has the word "HEADS" printed on its left sleeve and neon green accented strings. She also wears white sneakers and a pair of chunky neon green headphones around her neck.

Her second outfit consists of a cropped black shirt with long open-shouldered sleeves and a dark blue-and-teal design from her sternum down, and baggy white pants with hot pink stripes down the sides of the legs and a black design on the cuffs. She wears a long black belt with the word "HEADS" printed along its length, black-and-teal running shoes, and a layered silver necklace. She swaps her hair clips for simpler ones.

In her second year, she wears a light gray long-sleeved crop top with purple-and-black cuffs and the word "brush" in small print on a black rectangle on the chest; underneath can be seen a slightly longer black athletic shirt with lime green trim and strap sleeves. She wears high-waisted denim pants with frayed holes in the legs and a black belt with a yellow stripe through the middle.

In her sleepwear, she wears a white sleeveless shirt and black shorts.

An has amber eyes and long, waist-length black hair with blue tips, worn loose with little star accessories. She takes out her earrings and star accessories during school.[4] Her voice is strong and radiant.

Her outfit consists of a gray shirt with the word "Smile" printed on it with a white collared shirt underneath a pink, red, and white-colored oversized baseball jacket, and a short denim skirt with a long white belt with the word "ANGEL" printed along its length. She also wears a black and white cap backwards, a loose black choker with a small heart pendant, high-cut cream-colored sneakers and thigh-high gray socks with white stripes.

Her second outfit consists of a gray button-up underneath a white sweater with a dark gray stripe on the chest reading "CORDIAL" and a pink stripe down the left sleeve which reads "GENIALITY", and a short, dark, denim suspender skirt with a zipper down the front and a hot pink belt. The pockets are buckled shut and the right has the word "ANGEL" printed along its length. She wears gray athletic socks with a white stripe, pink running shoes with black and white accents, and a white backwards cap with the word "heart" printed on the right.

In her second year, she wears a cream long-sleeved shirt with the word "LUSTER" printed along the sleeves under a light orange short-sleeved sweater with light yellow trim and a small design on the left of the chest. She wears a short denim skirt with fringe, a black belt hanging down with the word "LUSTER" printed along it, and dark gray thigh-high stockings decorated with pale yellow lines and a pair of white and pink sneakers with a reddish accent. She wears a dark gray cap backwards with a small pink star on the right side and a gold heart pendant necklace.

In her sleepwear, she wears a pink long-sleeved pajamas set.

Kohane has light brown eyes and sandy blonde hair. Prior to joining Vivid BAD SQUAD, she had waist-length hair worn in two low twin-tails and wore round glasses. After becoming a member of the group, she cuts her hair to be shoulder-length and now wears her hair in twin-tails up behind her ears. She also wears contact lenses instead of her glasses. Her voice is light and sweet.

The son of a classical musician and a prodigy, Toya aims to surpass the legendary event RAD WEEKEND and has started composing for Vivid BAD SQUAD. Despite initially feeling overwhelmed after seeing the heights he would need to climb to reach that goal, he now hopes to use his experience to surmount this wall with his team and see the view from the top.

Incredibly hard-working, Akito puts everything he has into training to surpass the legendary RAD WEEKEND event. His efforts almost came to a screeching halt after he learned the truth behind the event, but his strong desire to pursue his dream has fueled him to keep going.

Cheerful and honest, An helps out at Weekend Garage. She was working towards surpassing her father's team's legendary event, RAD WEEKEND, when she learned an earth-shattering secret about Nagi, his teammate and her role model. After learning about Nagi's hopes from her father, An has bounced back, pledging once more to surpass the legend.

Background
Once a shy girl, Kohane has since gained confidence in her singing thanks to the support of her team members and training under Taiga, a member of the group that put on the legendary event RAD WEEKEND. Despite feeling frustrated after an overwhelming defeat at the hands of Taiga, Kohane has used that frustration to get back on her feet and reaffirm her drive to surpass RAD WEEKEND.

A musical group consisting of two boys, Akito and Toya, and two girls, An and Kohane. You're the fifth member! Toya is a very calm and serene person, as well as very intelligent. Akito is somewhat brusque, but he means well. An is cheerful and kind; she always sees the bright side of things. Kohane is quite similar to Toya: she's a very kind girl with a soft voice.
