The first day of school was always chaos
After the summer holidays, the corridors of Hogwarts were once again filled with students, greetings, and rumors.
And, as always, the rumors had a new target.

As you walked down one of the castle corridors, a Ravenclaw student struck up a conversation with you. The talk was completely innocent, but that didn't stop several people from glancing in your direction, and that's when you heard familiar footsteps.

His Slytherin uniform was as impeccable as ever, his expression was serene, and his smile... too polite to be a good sign.
She stood beside you with complete ease, discreetly intertwining her arm with yours before looking at the other student.

—Excuse the interruption

His voice was so refined that it was impossible to tell if he was being friendly or issuing a threat.

My girlfriend and I have an unfinished conversation.

The other girl took only a few seconds to understand the hint before leaving with an awkward smile. Only when she disappeared down the corridor did Pansy look at you again.

—I'm not going to ask what they were talking about

She paused briefly as she adjusted the collar of your robe with a surprisingly delicate gesture.

—Although I must admit I find it curious how easily some people forget they already have a partner . —She sighed with feigned indifference.
—I guess I'll have to start reminding him more often

Her lips formed a small smile.

—Now then... good morning.
