History 8/8 (Current Events)
After reuniting most of the Seven Deadly SinsβDiane, Meliodas, Ban, King, Gowther, and Merlinβand after infiltrating the Kingdom of Liones to rescue Elizabeth and defeating the Holy Knights to save the Kingdom, they were now resting from the battle before setting out to find Meliodas's dragon-hilted sword.
Story 8/??? Baste Prison Saga 3/3
Later, during the aftermath of the battle between Meliodas and Ruin, which ends with the latter's defeat, Diane swiftly defeats Friesia with a crushing blow. They both head towards an injured Elizabeth. Diane removes her giant backpack, intending to place Elizabeth inside and carry her to the city for treatment. Elizabeth, however, asks Diane to take her inside the dungeon, to which Diane agrees. The second, older shepherd is revealed to be a soldier ordered to pose as a civilian. When he refuses to reveal Ban's location for fear of his superiors, Diane threatens him while holding Friesia's defeated body. Inside, the group encounters Sennett and Ban. As Meliodas and Ban greet each other and begin an arm-wrestling match, destroying the entirety of Baste Dungeon, Diane simply watches as if this were a common occurrence. The group, along with Sennett and the other inhabitants of the town, return to Dalmary where Diane is later seen with Elizabeth.
That evening, during the party, Ban formally introduced himself to Elizabeth; Diane had to stand while eating due to her size. During the party, Elizabeth expressed her joy but stated that the events in Hilvanar had reminded her even more of the Holy Knights' terrifying abilities. Diane replied that she wasn't interested in the human realms but had no qualms about fighting for Elizabeth, as she was "truly amazing." Diane also asked Elizabeth if from now on she could address her simply as "Elizabeth," instead of "Princess," and then told the young woman to address her simply as "Diane."
Story 7/??? Baste Prison Saga 2/3
She continues trying to remember when she suddenly learns that Meliodas and Elizabeth have disappeared, and the doctor's office is destroyed. When a Holy Knight informs her that he has them captured, she attacks him, but it is soon revealed that she is under an illusion. She then attacks Meliodas, believing she is attacking the Holy Knight. Meliodas immediately flees with Elizabeth and Hawk, and upon finding two shepherds walking nearby, he takes them along so they can escape as well. The five hide, but Meliodas, unaware, also falls under hypnosis. Seeing Ruin instead of Diane, he, thinking Ruin is attacking them, leaps up and begins attacking Diane. Upon seeing Ruin, they both begin attacking each other. Diane and Meliodas continue their fierce battle, but it stops when Elizabeth manages to destroy the artifact that was generating the illusions.
Story 6/??? Baste Prison Saga 1/3
Diane, Elizabeth, and Hawk travel to Dalmary, a town near Baste Prison, to tend to Meliodas's wounds. As she sits beside Dana's house, she looks askance at the room where her captain is being treated, unable to bear being near him. Later, Diane decides to go to the prison alone, telling Elizabeth not to accompany her, as she would only be an obstacle when the princess asks to join her. Elizabeth responds to Diane's desire to be helpful, but Diane ignores her, stating that the best thing she can do is tend to her captain. Elizabeth continues to insist on helping Meliodas, just as he helps her. This angers Diane, who asserts that Meliodas doesn't do what he does only for her; it's natural for him to want to help others. She recounts her past with Meliodas and how he was the first to defend her. Elizabeth declares her desire to become stronger, while Diane expresses her wish to be smaller. Suddenly, they realize that a large swarm of insects is heading towards Dalmary.
Though initially terrified by her fear of insects, Diane overcomes it and swiftly kills them by raising enormous pillars of earth, much to the surprise of Friesia, the aggressor. While Elizabeth and Hawk are amazed by Diane's ability, she leaps from Dalmary and asks Elizabeth to look after Meliodas before running off toward Baste Dungeon. Diane later runs to rejoin Meliodas, Elizabeth, and Hawk as the three head to Baste Dungeon. She mysteriously seems to have no memory of defeating Friesia or escaping the dungeon earlier.
Story 5/??? Forest Saga
Having defeated the natives, they turn to Diane, who was lying asleep, unaware that they are carrying Meliodas, Elizabeth, and Hawk toward her. Diane awakens immediately upon hearing the natives' apologies for allowing a Holy Knight to pass, as they believed Meliodas was one, and she immediately takes Meliodas in her hand. After realizing his identity, she hugs her captain, and when Elizabeth introduces herself as her companion, she throws a tantrum. Meliodas, after calming Diane, begins a discussion about the day the Seven Deadly Sins were framed for the murder of the Great Holy Knight. However, he also reveals that he has almost no memory of that day, and then narrates that the only memory he has is of someone apologizing to him, addressing him as "captain." This leads Elizabeth to speculate about the existence of a traitor, and Diane declares that she will help Meliodas no matter who the enemy is. Moments later, Hawk sees a gigantic storm cloud approaching, from which a lightning bolt strikes and immobilizes them. Elizabeth recognizes the assailant as the Holy Knight Gilthunder. After he separates her from the rest of the group, ending her interruption, he expresses his desire to fight Meliodas and reveals his connection to Zaratras, the Great Holy Knight. Before the battle, Meliodas and Diane easily break free from their paralysis as Meliodas asks her not to interfere. Diane silently observes the battle, watching with concern as Meliodas is severely injured. When Gilthunder continues attacking Meliodas and refuses to end the fight, Diane grabs him, and ignoring his attempts to escape her grip, throws him off the forest floor. Some time later, Diane joins her captain, Hawk, and Elizabeth to set out to rescue Ban from prison.
Story 4/??? (10 Years Ago)
The Seven Deadly Sins, including Diane, were summoned to a castle to meet with the Great Holy Knight sometime after defeating the Troll Queen and simultaneously destroying the Great Druid Altar. On their way, Diane speculated that the Great Holy Knight would reward them for their latest mission, though Merlin predicted it would be more of a reprimand from their superiors. When they found the Great Holy Knight Zaratras murdered, they were ambushed by the kingdom's Holy Knights. Diane managed to escape to the White Dream Forest, where she threatened the natives into protecting her.
History 3/??? (16 Years Ago 2/2)
The next day, Diane and Matrona were hired by the Knights of Liones as mercenaries to help rid the land of foreign savages. This was all a ruse, however, as the knights' true target was Matrona, whom they sought to defeat for renown and prestige. In the midst of the fight against the traitorous knights, a poisoned arrow was about to strike Diane, but Matrona took the arrow instead, severely paralyzing her. Despite being weakened by the arrow, Matrona used the last of her strength to kill Gannon and 330 other Holy Knights before seemingly dying. Diane wept for Matrona's death before being captured by the Knights of Liones and arrested on trumped-up charges. She was convicted of killing Matrona out of envy, along with the deaths of 330 other Holy Knights, in an attempt to silence all witnesses. When her death sentence was read aloud, Diane was saved at the last moment by Meliodas, who won legal custody of her.
After this, Diane joined the Seven Deadly Sins. On a mission, she faced a horde of vampires; however, Diane and King were suddenly weakened due to Ban's deliberate use of his Steal ability while intoxicated. He drained their abilities, and as a result, they both struggled in the battle. Diane was unaware of the reason for this and only realized it after Gowther revealed it ten years later.
Before the betrayal, Diane and her teammates met with King Liones and the young Princess Elizabeth, whom she did not remember until 10 years later when Gowther told her about it.
History 2/??? (16 1/2 Years Ago)
Several hundred years later, Diane had grown into a woman and was being trained by Matrona to become a warrior of her clan alongside her companion, Dolores. One afternoon, Diane overheard Matrona's plans for her to become the strongest warrior in the entire Giant clan. Disgusted by Matrona's plans for her, Diane decided to leave the village once again. She asked Dolores to run away with her, but Dolores refused, explaining that although she too hated fighting, no one would accept them outside the clan.
Diane left the village alone once again and soon ran into trouble with some knights who berated her for being a giant. Meliodas confronted them, arguing that it was cowardly to extort a "poor" girl, completely ignoring Diane's colossal size and treating her like a normal person. Diane's encounter with Meliodas led her back home to tell Dolores that there was another place where they could be accepted. When Diane arrived in the village, Dolores revealed that she had been killed by mountain bandits while working as a bodyguard. After Diane learned that Matrona had sent Dolores on the mission alone, she punched her in anger, but Matrona punished her by saying that this was the fate Dolores had chosen.
History 1/??? (Childhood)
As a child, Diane fled the Giant clan because of her hatred for fighting. After leaving, she created two rock golems to keep her company, even though they were incapable of speech. She was always alone, playing with them, as there were no other living beings who would accept her. One day, however, Diane found an injured King lying unconscious on a riverbank and nursed him back to health. King, who had suffered a severe head injury, had lost all memories of his past, and in gratitude, he spent the next five hundred years playing with and protecting Diane. Diane later met an elderly human man who offered her and King some food, despite them being a Fairy and a Giant. One day, Diane developed a fever, and King panicked and went out to gather herbs. However, Diane stopped him, telling him that she never wanted to be alone again. The old man who had given them food found them and concocted a medicinal herb for Diane's fever, eventually curing her. When they revisited the old hunter's place, they found that more houses had sprung up around it, and that the hunter now had a grandson. There, King explained to Diane about marriage between two people who loved each other.
Diane asked King if he loved her, and he blushed but said yes. Diane then made King promise to love her forever, and he readily agreed. Later that night, King began to remember who he was through several flashbacks in his dreams and discovered that the nearby town was on fire. King told Diane to wait for him while he headed to the town, promising to return. Diane waited in tears, only for King to stab her spine with a flower the next day, erasing her memories of him. Diane eventually awoke from her dream with no memories whatsoever, but curiously, she picked up King's flower and left.
Skills
Diane, being a Giant, is an extremely strong being physically, also very resilient, and despite her size, she is also agile. Even at a smaller size (that is, human-sized), her strength remains superior, and she gains even more agility due to her reduced weight.
Creation: This ability, which belongs only to the clan of the Giants who have a great connection with nature, allows Diane to control the earth.
Heavy Metal: This ability allows Diane to make her skin and even her hair as hard as steel. When she uses it, her skin and hair turn completely black. This effect makes her body much heavier, more resilient, and stronger.
Sacred Treasure: Diane's Sacred Treasure, Gideon, is a warhammer designed for the Giant Clan. It is made of a material stronger than steel and weighs approximately 2,200 pounds (997 kilograms). This treasure allows its wielder to unleash immense power, and combined with Diane's Creation ability, it allows her to manipulate the earth on a titanic scale, leveling a vast area of ββland with a single blow to create immense mountains that she drops upon her opponents, causing total devastation and drastically altering the surrounding geography.
Personality
Like the serpent's sin of envy, her main traits are jealousy and envy, but despite her behavior and appearance, she is a very kind and friendly person to those around her. She shows great affection and a certain fascination for Meliodas, so when she saw him with Elizabeth, she became very jealous and started hitting him, calling him a cheater. She is a very strong and confident person, with great drive and a courageous spirit. However, despite her strong convictions, her true desire is to be a small, ordinary person. She is very protective of her friends, especially Meliodas, to the point that she is capable of facing her worst fears to ensure the lives of her companions.
He can also be 750 years old, which is probably in Giant Years, that's a little over 15 or 16 Human Years approximately, so he is somewhat childish in certain attitudes especially in jealousy.
Appearance
Diane is a beautiful maiden with purple eyes and long brown hair, which she wears tied in two long pigtails on either side of her head. She has a very attractive physique. Despite being a beautiful young woman, she is in fact a giantess belonging to the Giant Clan. She wears an orange jumpsuit, boots that extend almost to her knees, and a metal gauntlet studded with shiny metal nuggets. According to her, her current outfit is fashionable. She also frequently carries a backpack. Her snake mark, her tattoo as a member of the Seven Deadly Sins, is located on the outside of her left thigh.
His current attire as a Giant doesn't differ much from his previous outfit. Thanks to Merlin, who made his new clothes, he now wears a one-piece dress with an orange skirt featuring a half-moon neckline fastened with two buttons. Underneath the skirt, he wears a kind of tight black shorts. His footwear remains the same, the same boots from his previous outfit. He also keeps the gauntlet he wears on his left hand, while on his right hand he wears a light blue fingerless glove.
Thanks to a spell cast by Merlin, she can shrink to a more human size, reducing herself to approximately 1.56 meters. When shrunk, she wears a different outfit: a pink one-piece sweater dress with five fluffy white pom-poms for buttons. She also wears matching boots with fluffy trim. An additional outfit she wears is that of a waitress at the "Boar Hat," which is somewhat revealing.
