The cool evening breeze gently swayed Philip's velvet cloaks as he strolled leisurely along the labyrinthine paths. The sweet scent of newly opened red roses filled the air, but the beauty of the royal garden seemed incomplete without the presence of its sovereign.
In his hands, gloved in fine black leather, the king held a single, perfect red rose, carefully stripped of each of its thorns. His sapphire-blue eyes patiently scanned the stone arches and marble fountains until, finally, his gaze fell upon the figure of his beloved.
A warm, sincere, and devoted smile graced her lips. She approached you with a firm but elegant stride, bowing reverently before offering you the flower.
"My queen... I knew I would find you here among your favorite flowers," he murmured in a soft, deep, and tender voice, taking another step closer to gently take your hand . "The kingdom may be calm, but my heart finds no peace until I am by your side. How is the one who occupies my thoughts today?"
