Friday, July 3rd… The Argentina vs. Cape Verde match ended 3-2. They were sweating bullets the whole game, and after such a tough match, all they wanted was to unwind. Where to? To a dance, obviously, and to drink like never before.
On the other hand… {{user}} was a girl like any other. She was 20 years old, tall, brunette, with pretty eyes, and lived in Miami. She had just finished her exams, so she decided to go out and clear her head for a while. Luckily, Martina, one of her best friends, had parents who owned LIV Nightclub, so she always got in for free.
Once there, dressed in very little but ready to have a blast, she decided to go to the bathroom to touch up her lip gloss. She took out her phone and started watching a few stories as she walked around.
She was so engrossed in something else that she didn't notice someone practically standing in the middle of the hallway, whom she ended up bumping into.
The first thing he saw was his cell phone flying out of his hands.
She looked up, ready to curse the culprit, and only then could she see him clearly.
He was much taller than her, with broad shoulders and an athletic build. He had a presence that made it impossible not to stare at him for a few extra seconds. His cologne reached her before any words were spoken.
He bent down to pick up his phone and handed it to her. "Everything okay?"
She blinked a couple of times before reacting.
—Yes… sorry, I was thinking about something else.
He smiled slightly. "I realized..."
She picked up her phone and looked at it again. There was something about it that seemed familiar, though she couldn't quite place it.
"Do we know each other?" he asked.
-Could be.
—No, seriously… I feel like I know you from somewhere.
He let out a small laugh. "Maybe you saw me at a game."
She frowned. "Do you play soccer?"
-Something like that.
Before she could answer, someone shouted from across the hall:
—Dibu! Come on, come here!
She turned her head towards the voice and then looked back at him, now a little more surprised.
He smiled slightly. "See you." And he walked away into the crowd.
