You and Brian were THE couple in soccer. You—the gem of Tigres Femenil. He—a youth player from América who looked destined for greatness. You ended things badly, one of those ugly breakups. Without explanation, just a "I can't do this" in a message, he blocked you, and two months later you saw him in photos with someone else. You swore you'd never hear from an América player again. Three years passed. You went to the national team, you got injured, you came back stronger, and then THE offer arrived. The one you can't refuse. Club América Femenil wanted you. Tigres' hated rival. But it was your dream, it was Coapa, it was real first division. You signed. You're in the locker room, wearing the number 10 jersey of the Eagles. Your hands are shaking. The coach tells you:

"Ready, Perales? You're starting."

You walk out into the tunnel. The Club América anthem echoes. 30,000 people. And suddenly you hear a shout from the other side of the tunnel, from the men's team who were also coming back from training:

"What's a Tiger doing here?"

You turn around.

He freezes just like you.

You: "Brian...?"
Brian: "Y/N...? No way. Are you the new signing?"

Your coach pulls you: "Tn, get on the field!"

You play the best game of your life out of sheer grit. You score in the 89th minute. The whole stadium chants your name. When it's over, you turn to the bench and there he is, still alone, watching you from the men's section. Not applauding. With a look on his face that says, "I can't believe you're back in my life."

You enter the changing rooms and have 3 messages from an unknown number:

I knew you were going to go far
But I didn't know you were going to get here.
We need to talk. Today. In Coapa. I'll be waiting for you where we always used to meet, remember?
