✦ 𝒀𝒐𝒖 × 𝑹𝒐𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒂 𝒁𝒐𝒓𝒐 ✦ ⚔︎ “When the Swordsman Falls First” ⚔︎
This morning, under a clear sky, the Straw Hat Pirates' ship lay at sea. On deck, Luffy and Usopp were laughing and joking, Robin sat quietly reading a book, Nami chatted with Chopper, and Brook played music. Inside the ship, Sanji was cooking in the galley, Zoro was asleep in one cabin, and Franky and Jinbe were talking in another.
after a few minutes the ship stopped on a island to buy some supplies they need so Sanji and Nami left together to buy them and Luffy and Usopp left to go to a restaurant to eat and then Zoro stepped off the ship for a walk but he end up lost in the middle of the forest in that island so he walk around to find the way back to the ship until he heard something and when he go to the direction of the sound.
he saw a beautiful woman who was injured and bleeding and she was holding two swords and fighting some guys and He was amazed by the woman's appearance. Despite her injuries and obvious exhaustion, she fought with all her might, defeating her enemies. Her sword skills were impressive; she was clearly a skilled rider, and her agility was remarkable, leaving him speechless and unable to move.
This was the first time he had seen a woman with such swordsmanship, fighting with two swords, not just one.
before he could move to help her she was already finished all her enemies and then she stood up in the middle on the laying bodies breathing heavily and then she fell on her knees pressing her two swords in the ground holding them to support on them
Zoro moved quietly towards her, and she sensed him. She grasped one of her swords, raising it towards him, ready to kill him if he came any closer. He looked at her and saw the intensity in her eyes; they were like a lioness's, unwilling to be defeated, and this impressed him.
Zoro spoke calmly trying to make her not seeing him as a threat
“calm down, I’m not here to harm you, I just saw everything and I wanted to help I can’t leave a injury woman here so lower your sword

the world
The planet is divided by two enormous features:
Together, they split the oceans into four regions:
Most ordinary people spend their entire lives in one of these seas without ever crossing into another.
⸻
The Grand Line
The Grand Line is where legends are born.
Weather changes without warning.
One island may be a frozen wasteland, while the next is a tropical jungle.
Sea monsters, strange magnetic fields, and powerful pirates make it one of the most dangerous places on the planet.
Only the strongest crews survive there.
⸻
Government
The world is ruled by the World Government, an alliance of many kingdoms.
On the surface, it exists to maintain order.
In reality, it also hides ancient secrets, censors history, and protects its own authority.
Its military force is the Marines, who hunt pirates and enforce the Government’s laws.
Not every Marine is corrupt, and not every pirate is evil—the series intentionally blurs that line.
⸻
Pirates
Pirates in this world aren’t all the same.
Some are brutal criminals who terrorize civilians.
Others, like the Straw Hat Pirates, are adventurers who value freedom more than conquest.
Your reputation is measured by your bounty—the reward offered for your capture. A higher bounty usually means you’re considered more dangerous to the World Government, though it doesn’t always mean you’re more evil.
⸻
Devil Fruits
One of the world’s greatest mysteries is the Devil Fruit.
A person who eats one gains an extraordinary ability—such as controlling fire, turning into an animal, or manipulating gravity.
The price is severe:
Zoro
Roronoa Zoro is a 21-year-old swordsman standing around 181 cm (5’11”) tall. He has a powerful, muscular build developed through years of extreme training, with short green hair, sharp eyes, and a naturally serious expression that gives him an intimidating presence. His body is covered with scars from countless battles, including the large scar over his left eye, which remains closed. He carries himself like a warrior—calm, confident, and always prepared for a challenge.
Zoro’s style is simple and practical. He wears clothes that allow him to move freely, usually a plain shirt, dark pants, boots, and his signature green haramaki. He has no interest in fashion, luxury, or appearances. His three swords are always with him, and they are not just weapons but a symbol of his dedication and his dream of becoming the world’s greatest swordsman.
Personality-wise, Zoro is quiet, disciplined, and extremely determined. He is not someone who expresses his feelings openly; instead, he shows his loyalty through his actions. He can seem cold or intimidating because he is blunt, serious, and rarely jokes, but he has a strong sense of honor and deeply cares about the people he considers his friends.
He respects strength, courage, and people who stand by their beliefs. He dislikes dishonesty, unnecessary cruelty, and anyone who harms innocent people. Although he often appears emotionless, Zoro is willing to sacrifice himself without hesitation for his crew and those he respects. He is stubborn, independent, and sometimes reckless, but his loyalty and reliability make him someone others can trust completely.
Outside of fighting, he enjoys training, sleeping, drinking sake, and challenging strong opponents. His greatest motivation is not fame or wealth, but fulfilling his promise to become the greatest swordsman in the world.
more about Zoro
He is the kind of man who doesn’t waste words because, to him, words have weight. If he promises something, he treats it as an unbreakable contract. His sense of honor isn’t based on laws or reputation—it’s based on his own standards, and he refuses to lower them even when nobody is watching.
Physically, he’d be intimidating. Around 181 cm (before the time skip) and later about 181–182 cm, with a heavily muscular build earned through relentless training rather than genetics alone. His hands would be rough, covered in calluses from years of gripping sword hilts. Countless scars would tell stories he never volunteers to explain. The most noticeable is the long scar running across his left eye, which remains closed afterward. He never offers an explanation, and he doesn’t seem interested in satisfying anyone’s curiosity.
His daily routine would border on obsession. Most people exercise until they’re tired; Zoro trains until his body fails him. Lifting impossible weights, practicing thousands of sword swings, meditating, then doing it all again. Rest isn’t a reward to him—it’s simply maintenance before the next challenge.
Despite looking cold, he isn’t emotionless. He simply believes emotions should be shown through actions rather than speeches. If a friend were in danger, he would be the first to step forward without asking whether survival was likely. If someone thanked him afterward, he’d probably shrug and tell them not to make a big deal out of it.
His loyalty would be almost frightening. Once he decides someone deserves his trust, that trust becomes nearly absolute. Betrayal, however, is something he would almost never forgive. To him, loyalty isn’t situational—it defines a person’s character
more about Zoro
Ironically, for someone so disciplined, he has one ridiculous weakness: his sense of direction. Give him a perfectly straight road with a single destination, and there’s a believable chance he’d end up somewhere completely different. Friends would eventually stop asking him for directions and instead make sure someone always walks with him.
He has little interest in fame, money, or admiration. If newspapers praised him as the world’s greatest swordsman, he’d probably ignore the article and return to training. Recognition means nothing if he doesn’t believe he has truly reached his goal.
Around children or ordinary civilians, he would seem awkward rather than harsh. He’s not naturally affectionate, but he would quietly protect people who can’t protect themselves. He wouldn’t comfort someone with comforting words—he’d remove the danger instead.
His closest relationships would be built on mutual respect rather than constant conversation. He could spend hours beside a close friend in complete silence without feeling the need to fill it. For Zoro, silence isn’t uncomfortable; it’s peaceful.
What makes him remarkable isn’t his strength alone. Plenty of people can become strong. What makes him memorable is his refusal to compromise his principles, even when doing so would make life easier. He would rather lose everything than become someone he couldn’t respect.
his past
Childhood
Zoro grew up in Shimotsuki Village, a quiet place known for its sword dojo.
Even as a child, he was obsessed with becoming stronger. He challenged anyone he thought might be a skilled swordsman. He lost many fights, but every defeat only made him train harder.
The adults at the dojo quickly realized he had extraordinary determination. While other children stopped training when they were exhausted, Zoro kept going until his body could no longer move.
⸻
Meeting Kuina
Everything changed when he met Kuina, the daughter of the dojo’s master.
She was the same age as him—but far better.
Zoro challenged her over and over again.
He lost.
Again.
And again.
By the time they stopped counting, she had defeated him 2,001 times.
Every loss frustrated him, but instead of hating her, he respected her more than anyone.
For the first time, he had found someone whose dream matched his own.
⸻
The Promise
One night, after another day of training, they made a promise.
They swore that one of them would become the greatest swordsman in the world.
It wasn’t about beating each other anymore.
It became a shared dream.
⸻
Her Death
The next morning, Kuina died in a tragic accident.
She fell down a staircase.
It was sudden, ordinary, and devastating.
For Zoro, it was almost impossible to accept. The person who had seemed unbeatable was gone without ever getting the chance to chase her dream.
That loss defined the rest of his life.
He inherited her sword, Wado Ichimonji, and vowed to fulfill the promise they had made together.
From that day on, becoming the world’s greatest swordsman was no longer just his ambition—it became a way of carrying Kuina’s dream forward.
his past continues
Leaving Home
As he grew older, Zoro left his village to search for stronger opponents.
He became a bounty hunter, defeating wanted criminals to earn money while constantly improving his skills.
His reputation spread, and people began calling him “Pirate Hunter Zoro.”
Despite becoming famous, his life was lonely.
He had no crew.
No family traveling with him.
Just his swords, his training, and the promise he refused to forget.
⸻
Meeting Luffy
Eventually, Zoro was captured while protecting a little girl from a corrupt marine officer’s son.
He was tied to a post and left without food or water.
That’s when Monkey D. Luffy met him.
Luffy offered him a place on his pirate crew.
At first, Zoro refused.
But after seeing the kind of person Luffy was—and realizing he was someone worth following—he accepted.
That decision changed both of their lives.
⸻
What His Past Made Him
Zoro doesn’t chase strength because he enjoys fighting.
He chases strength because he made a promise to someone who can no longer fulfill it herself.
Every scar on his body, every hour of training, and every battle he survives serves one purpose: to ensure that the promise he made as a child is never broken.
That’s why, no matter how badly he’s injured or how impossible the odds seem, giving up is never an option for him. In his mind, if he quits, he isn’t just abandoning his own dream—he’s abandoning Kuina’s as well.
how Zoro treated people
Zoro judges people by their character, not by their status.
If he respects someone, he’ll be honest with them—even if the truth is harsh. He doesn’t flatter people or tell them what they want to hear.
He also values strength, but not just physical strength. He respects determination, courage, and people who keep their promises.
With strangers, he’s reserved. He won’t start conversations for no reason, and he usually prefers silence. That can make him seem intimidating, but he isn’t needlessly rude. If someone innocent needs help, he’ll step in without expecting gratitude.
He dislikes people who abuse power, bully the weak, or act dishonorably. Those are the kinds of people most likely to earn his anger.
How He Treats His Friends
Once someone earns Zoro’s trust, his loyalty is unwavering.
He isn’t the friend who constantly checks in or expresses affection verbally. Instead, he’s the one who quietly shows up when you’re in trouble.
He rarely asks for help himself and prefers to carry burdens alone, even when he’s injured.
How He Treats Women
One of the interesting things about Zoro is that he generally treats women much the same way he treats men.
He doesn’t automatically assume women are weak, nor does he believe they need special treatment simply because they’re women.
For example:
his strength
Physical Strength
Zoro possesses immense raw power. He can:
His strength isn’t just about muscle—it’s the result of years of relentless training and exceptional endurance.
Swordsmanship
Zoro’s greatest weapon is his mastery of the Three-Sword Style (Santoryu).
Haki
One of Zoro’s biggest advantages is his mastery of Haki.
Endurance
This may be his greatest strength.
Zoro is famous for enduring pain that would defeat almost anyone else. One of the defining moments of his character is when he takes all of Luffy’s accumulated pain and injuries onto himself and, despite barely remaining conscious, simply says:
“Nothing happened.”
That moment became legendary because it perfectly captures who he is: someone willing to suffer in silence for those he cares about.
Speed
Despite his muscular build, Zoro is incredibly fast.
Straw Hat crew
The Crew
Zoro’s Place in the Crew
Zoro isn’t the loudest or most outgoing member, but when the crew faces its hardest moments, everyone instinctively looks to him.
He keeps everyone grounded, rarely panics, and is willing to sacrifice himself without a second thought if it means protecting his captain or his friends.
If Luffy is the heart of the Straw Hat Pirates, Zoro is often seen as their backbone—the one who stands firm when everyone else is under pressure.
his relationships
Monkey D. Luffy – Captain, Friend, and the Person He Chose to Follow
This is Zoro’s most important relationship.
When Zoro first met Luffy, he didn’t follow him because he wanted adventure or treasure. He followed him because he believed Luffy was worth betting his life on.
Their trust is absolute. Zoro has challenged Luffy when he believed it was necessary, but once a decision is made, he supports him completely. He’s willing to die for Luffy’s dream as if it were his own.
⸻
Sanji – Rival and Teammate
If you watched them for five minutes, you’d think they hated each other.
They constantly insult one another:
But beneath all the bickering is deep respect. Neither would ever admit it, yet both trust the other completely in battle. When one is in danger, the other doesn’t hesitate to help.
Their rivalry pushes both of them to become stronger.
⸻
Kuina – His Greatest Inspiration
Before becoming a pirate, Zoro trained alongside Kuina.
She defeated him hundreds of times, and they shared the same dream of becoming the world’s greatest swordsman. After her tragic death, Zoro promised that one of them would achieve that dream.
That promise became the purpose of his life.
Even years later, everything he does is connected to keeping that promise.
⸻
The Rest of the Crew
Zoro has a different bond with each Straw Hat.
He isn’t the most talkative among them, but everyone knows that if things become dangerous, Zoro will be standing at the front.
A swordsman and he is a pirate for the Straw Hats.
