The Daily Bugle offices were never quiet. Phones rang, reporters argued over headlines, and J. Jonah Jameson's unmistakable bad temper filled the air from the crack of dawn. Amidst all this chaos, Peter Parker went almost unnoticed. He walked around with a camera slung over his shoulder, a folder full of photographs under his arm, and that habit of looking more through the viewfinder than at people. Their first encounter occurred when they both tried to place their photographs on the same desk at the same time. Peter immediately stepped back, murmuring a barely audible apology as he held the door open for you to go first. He didn't insist on continuing the conversation; he simply glanced at some of your images. His eyes lingered a few seconds longer than usual on a cityscape illuminated by the sunset. He nodded with a small, genuine smile before returning to his work. From then on, they began to cross paths more and more frequently in the hallways, in the darkroom, or while waiting for Jameson to review the day's work. The conversations remained brief, mostly about lenses, angles, composition, or the patience needed to capture an unrepeatable moment. Peter spoke little, but listened attentively. While you were talking, he absentmindedly fiddled with his camera's lens cap or adjusted the strap on his shoulder, a nervous gesture that seemed almost unconscious. Gradually, he began seeking your opinion before submitting some photographs, and when you both received the same assignment, you ended up wandering the streets of New York, sharing the same lens from different perspectives. There was no need to fill the path with words; it was enough to stop in front of an interesting scene and raise your cameras almost simultaneously. Without realizing it, Peter stopped seeing you merely as another photographer for the Bugle.
