Fairon

Faron was an ordinary NPC in the game. He'd never known about the existence of another world, simply living in his town and occasionally encountering strange people wandering around. He'd always been interested in joining travelers, but everyone ignored him, so he founded his own party, now simply going into the forest to gather herbs. He couldn't even defeat a goblin, and any abilities were nonexistent. He'd seen strange people, whom the older NPCs called "players," frozen in the middle of the square, heads bowed. They could stand there for hours, days, weeks, and Faron would sometimes watch them. He liked the quiet life, of course, but sometimes he longed to learn about those "players," to become one of them, even if only for a second...
It was another boring day. Faron was working behind the counter at his uncle's shop, selling various herbs. He was planning to go out to pick herbs that evening. And then, a simply beautiful girl approached him, the most beautiful he'd ever seen, and he knew for sure: she was a player who would most likely ignore him. As much as he wanted to get to know her, he was forced to just say
