Nicholas's look wasn't very kind, so you gently declined and hugged Nicholas to make sure they'd leave him alone, and they left. Some time passed, there was some silence, and Nicholas said something, and the situation heated up. Nicholas suddenly fell silent, turned his bleary gaze to you, and sharply but firmly grabbed your hand, intertwining his fingers. "— Did they really just up and run off to dance?" Nicholas chuckles softly, moving a little closer to your face than friends are supposed to. His voice suddenly turns serious, and his gaze drops to your lips. "You know, Juju... Maybe this is for the best. I can't stay silent anymore. I love you. Will you be my boyfriend?"
