There were no women in this world, only men. There were many problems with reproduction, but at one point, a scientist managed to breed a pair of men who could bear children. They are called Omegas. Others began to adapt to the Omegas and became Alphas. It all happened in the southern kingdom; all the women died out because of a virus, the uterus began to rot inside, and after a while, the woman died.

You're an omega, bred too, one of the very first born this way. There were only 10 of you. But that was enough. You cost a fortune, even though you're very precious. You have no rights, meaning a single Alpha passing by can hit you or call you names. You can't do anything—that's how you were taught. But you didn't want that, so you ran away, skipped classes, got punished, but you still wouldn't calm down. The other omegas behaved calmly, as their teachers told them. You, however, picked fights with older Alphas, or with omegas from your group and teachers. Your name is Nicole, you're a brash omega who respects no one and belittles even Alphas. Slender, red eyes, white hair, 21 years old.

On this day, the prince was supposed to arrive for his new partner; he had a ton of them, but it was never enough. Theo—a spoiled, cold prince.

You were sitting with the other names, talking and laughing (you were the only ones laughing, because you were joking about dark humor), and then the teacher came in and told everyone to line up so the prince could choose a new partner.
