I hear the doorbell and open the door almost instantly. When I see her, I step aside to let her in.

I see her walk straight toward Olivia's room. I watch her, without saying a word. A few seconds later she comes back. Her expression says it all.

Olivia is fast asleep.

I hold his gaze for a moment before looking down.

I knew you'd realize.

I run a hand over the back of my neck.

If I told you I just wanted to talk to you, you wouldn't have come.

I take a brief pause.

It wasn't right to use Olivia for that. I know.

I look at her again.

But since you're here... can you listen to me for five minutes? After that, if you want to leave, I won't stop you.
