Rosemary Walten

On May 2nd, while Rose was at the dentist with Sophie, Edd and Molly Walten would have a school dance to attend. Due to Jack having paperwork to do, he was unable to take them to the school, and so, Jack would have Felix take them to the dance, which would be a mistake, as just before 10 pm, Felix would accidentally crash his car with Edd and Molly inside due to alcohol intoxication, killing both of the children. It is unknown what Rose did in between the time of May 2nd and 5th, though on May 5th, she would be falsely informed of the death of her two children, being incorrectly told how the crash happened with her believing that Felix crashed the car and awoke to the children missing. This would spiral Rose into an intense depression, being comforted at some point by Jack to keep it together for each other and for Sophie, their only remaining child. On May 7th, the funeral was held for Edd and Molly, which angered Rose as she saw the funeral. By May 8th, Rosemary began working on a film project based on her grief titled "Faces of Grief" where she represented herself in third person, along with her family using sheep. On June 11th, her husband, Jack, would go missing without a trace while Rose was at home,[13] making Rosemary's mental state worse. At this point, Rosemary fell into a deep depression, seemingly, being described by Sophie as constantly sad, overprotective, and apparently, no longer taking care of herself. Rosemary would begin trying to search for Jack herself, going to Bon's Burgers everyday to ask if anyone had seen him. For unknown reasons, possibly related to covering up something, a "no employee drama" rule would be instituted in Bon's Burgers/BSI, and Rosemary would be fired from Bunny Smiles Incorporated on June 30th.

Not much is known about Rosemary's personality, as we haven't seen much of her. Martin Walls described her as extremely caring, but very intimidating whenever she wanted to, and if she was bothered, would let someone know immediately. Sophie did note that she was kind but not too kind, which proves the latter points. She deeply loved her children and was very supportive and protective of them. Statements about Rosemary and Jack show that she and Jack had a good relationship. Back in school, Rosemary was the most popular kid, even being elected school president. Rosemary's personality changed completely after Jack's disappearance. She became extremely overprotective of Sophie, with her noticing that Rosemary was very unstable, likely going through grief and/or depression. Sophie also mentions that every time Rosemary tried to act nice to not sadden her, her eyes had a distinctive sad look to them.

In Richie's tapes, when he saw Rosemary enter the restaurant multiple times to discuss about Jack's whereabouts, he believed that something was wrong with her. This indicated that Rosemary's personality was abnormal during her trips to the restaurant, though to what extent is unclear.

Rosemary wears a yellow, baggy, turtleneck sweater with two buttons on the chest and two buttons on each shoulder, a long red skirt, long white socks, and black Mary Jane shoes. She has short, curly, dark brown hair and a slim facial appearance, with blue eyes. In most depictions, the shoulder buttons have seemingly been retconned or overall ignored. But after the tragic accident and the disappearance of her husband Jack, she began letting herself go. She let her hair grow messier and longer, she has tear marks on her face and very noticeable eye bags.

Rosemary Peony was born in Brighton, Michigan on April 20th, 1934. Rosemary has a sister, Laura Peony whom she has a poor relationship with. She studied at Brighton Public College for Arts. In 1952, Jack Walten and Rosemary would begin dating, or at least a relationship would begin to form between the two. Rosemary was the most popular kid in school growing up, being the school president, drawing art for school events, and so on. During the summer, Rose had a job drawing movie posters for a local theater, and Jack would steal them to keep the posters, not knowing Rosemary would get in trouble for the posters going missing. Rose would presumably graduate not long after Jack, who graduated in 1959 from Cleary University in Howell, Livingston County and in 1959, married Jack. Rose kept her maiden name as her middle name and took Jack's last name, making her full legal name Rosemary Peony Walten. At some point, she'd learn of Jack and his friend Felix Kranken's dream of making animatronic children's entertainment and would help with the dream, being the Lead Artist of their company, Bunny Smiles Company. Along with Jack and Felix, she met two mechanics, Charles Brook and Susan Woodings, who would also join their "B.S.I. Family."

At age 27 and 26 respectively in 1960, Jack and Rose would have their first child, Sophie Walten and in 1962 and 1965, would have Edd Walten and Molly Walten respectively. In roughly 1962, Rosemary, as an artist, would design The Showstoppers for Bunny Smiles Company. Rose would be a part of the Bunny Smiles Company and CyberFun Tech collaboration, at some point taking a photo alongside Norman Pooltrick, Charles Brook, Linda Thompson, Felix Kranken, Susan Woodings, and Jack Walten. It's not known fully what Rosemary did during this time, though she possibly worked on art projects, having her own art room and possibly working on art of different forms, such as music for BSI, art for BSI, and Bon's Burgers, and art not related to BSI, such as paintings, theater plays, music, and short films/musicals; In the 1960s, Rosemary worked on numerous short films such as "The Dancing Sheep" and "Crescendo". Rose was also a dedicated member of the Brighton Community Church and (along with Jack) hosted charity events where she'd donate art. On May 2nd, 1974, Rosemary would take her oldest daughter, Sophie, to the dentist for a regular dental checkup, unaware that this day would be the last normal day of her life.
