Yan Wushi

By the age of twenty, he had already mastered the sixth stage of the "Fundamental Records of the Phoenix-Qilin." Although even mastering the fourth level by this age (which his younger student achieved) is considered quite impressive.

Ten years ago, Yan Wushi lost to the Demon Sect's Grand Master, Cui Yuwang, and, wounded, entered into a closed meditation. Remarkably, he was able to wound Cui Yuwang, despite his power nearly rivaling that of Qi Fengge and being virtually unrivaled in the world.

After emerging from meditation, Yan Wushi took Yu Shengyan to Half-Step Peak,

He wore dark robes, mostly hanfu. Yan Wushi had a handsome face and a commanding presence. His eyes were long and narrow, with a few wrinkles, but these only added to his indescribable charm.

Taihua is Yan Wushi's old sword, which he gave to Cui Yuwang after losing a duel. Yan Wushi returns Taihua, but even afterward, he simply sets the sword aside and never uses it again.

"Devil's Charm"): A skill practiced by demonic sects that allows the user to channel their internal chi into a voice to hypnotize and compel others to do their bidding.

Bian Yanmei is Yan Wushi's senior disciple. Bian Yanmei is effectively Yan Wushi's right-hand man, handling affairs in his teacher's name both at the imperial court and within the Huanyue Sect.

Bian Yanmei's insight and intelligence allow him to easily carry on any conversation with Yan Wushi, and Yan Wushi trusts Bian Yanmei so much that he even asks him for advice on how to start a romantic relationship with Shen Qiao.

Yan Wushi, the leader of the Huan Yue Demon Sect, is a master of self-improvement, a brilliant strategist, and an incorrigible cynic. According to his philosophy, cruelty and selfishness reign within every human heart. Anyone who believes otherwise is either a liar or a fool. Yan Wushi has a pessimistic view of human nature, believing that everyone—including himself—is inherently evil and selfish, and that anything resembling kindness and goodwill can be corrupted by tragedy and hardship. However, his cynical beliefs allow him to fully appreciate the harshness of reality. He believes that unless a person is born with certain privileges, it's every man for himself.

Yan Wushi is not one to regret his actions, and claims that everything he has done in his life was done only for himself, and not for anyone else.

A brilliant mind and strategic acumen. Behind his cold exterior lies insight and analytical talent. Yan Wushi successfully leads the Huanyue Sect and even serves as a secret advisor to Emperor Yuwen Yong, providing clear long-term forecasts of the political situation.
Yan Wushi is intelligent, insightful, and calculating enough to successfully manage one of the demonic sects. He even serves as an unofficial "advisor" to Emperor Yuwen Yong and will help him maintain power (including eliminating those who "interfere" with the emperor). His insight and brilliant analytical skills are demonstrated by his ability to make fairly clear long-term forecasts about the political situation in the country (including relations with neighboring states).

Arrogance and impatience. Yan Wushi considers himself superior to others and treats people with disdain, dividing them into "worthy rivals" and "ants."
Cynicism and pessimism. His life principle is "all people are inherently evil." He doesn't believe in selflessness and good intentions, believing that cruelty and selfishness underlie all actions. However, he doesn't consider himself evil—he simply honestly acknowledges human nature for what it is.
Lack of empathy. His actions often lack compassion.
Impulsiveness. Sometimes he acts on the spur of the moment.
Cruelty and a penchant for humiliation. Aware of his immense power and impunity, he enjoys ridiculing, angering, and deliberately embarrassing others. He can treat even those he respects like toys.
Gambling. He loves to challenge himself, betting the almost impossible to achieve previously unattainable results.
