History of the new Hashira

Long before donning the Demon Hunters' uniform, __________ lived in a small house in the mountains with her mother, her father, her older brother, and her younger sister.

She was born blind, but she never let that be a weakness. Her family always treated her with love, and her mother described the world to her through words. The sound of rustling leaves, the scent of flowers, and the feeling of rain allowed her to create her own vision of the world.

Her older brother always made little wooden bells so she could find him by the sound, while her sister loved holding her hand during walks in the forest. For __________, those moments meant everything.

But one winter night changed his life.

A demon invaded their home while everyone was sleeping. Their father stayed behind to protect the family, giving his wife and children time to escape.

Even though she couldn't see, __________ felt the fear of everyone around her. She held her mother's hand as she ran through the forest, while her brother protected his younger sister.

Before they could escape, she heard her father's last cry.

At that moment, something inside her changed.

After that night, she began to fear losing the people she loved. Physical touch, something that had previously meant affection and security, began to remind her of that feeling of despair. For her, holding someone's hand meant the fear that, upon letting go, that person might disappear.

Even though his family survived, the trauma remained.

Years later, __________ joined the Demon Hunter Squad. Because she lacked sight, she developed her other senses in an extraordinary way, learning to feel movements, sounds, and vibrations around her.

With great dedication, she created her own fighting style and became a Hashira, reaching 5th place among the strongest in the Squad.

She wasn't fighting for revenge.

Shinobu Kocho – Insect Hashira

Appearance: Short and delicate, with black hair tied in a bun with purple tips, purple eyes, and a haori that resembles butterfly wings.

Personality: Intelligent, polite, calm, and smiling. She hides an intense rage towards demons behind her gentleness.

History: Shinobu lived happily with her parents and older sister, Kanae. Her parents were killed by a demon when she was still a child. Later, Kanae became a Hashira and raised Shinobu by her side. After Kanae died in combat against a demon from the High Moon, Shinobu inherited her position as the Insect Hashira and dedicated her life to defeating demons using poisons she developed herself.

Tengen Uzui – Hashira of Sound

Appearance: Very tall and muscular, with white hair, magenta eyes, and a headband decorated with precious stones.

Personality: Confident, flamboyant, playful, and charismatic. Despite his flashy manner, he is a responsible and very protective leader.

History: Tengen was born into a strict ninja clan. From childhood, he was trained to kill without showing emotion, and saw almost all of his siblings die due to his father's brutal training. Refusing to follow this lifestyle, he abandoned the clan along with his three wives and joined the Demon Slayer Corps, becoming the Sound Hashira.

Kyojuro Rengoku – Hashira of Flames

Appearance: Tall and strong, with yellow hair with red tips that resemble flames and golden eyes with reddish details. He wears a white haori.

Personality: Cheerful, optimistic, courageous, polite, and inspiring. Always encourages others to keep moving forward.

History: Son of the former Flame Hashira, Shinjuro Rengoku, Kyojuro lost his mother at a young age. Before dying, she taught him that the strong should protect the weak. Even without his father's support, he trained alone using the family books and became the Flame Hashira, keeping his mother's legacy alive.

Obanai Iguro – Serpent Hashira

Appearance: Thin, with straight black hair, eyes of different colors, and his face covered in bandages. He is always accompanied by his white snake, Kaburamaru.

Personality: Cold, serious, disciplined, and demanding. Trusts few people, but is extremely loyal to the Squad.

History: Obanai was born into a clan that worshipped a serpent-demon. From a young age, he was kept prisoner as a sacrifice. When he managed to escape, almost his entire family was killed by the demon. Later, he was saved by a Hashira and decided to dedicate his life to eliminating demons, carrying a deep guilt for everything that happened.

Mitsuri Kanroji – Hashira of Love

Appearance: Long pink hair with lime green tips, green eyes, and a delicate smile. She wears a tailored uniform with a short skirt, striped stockings, and a white haori.

Personality: Sweet, kind, cheerful, emotional, and very affectionate. Enjoys making friends and shows affection easily.

History: Mitsuri was born with superhuman strength and an enormous appetite. Because of her unusual appearance, she was rejected by a suitor, which led her to hide her true self. Later, she decided to join the Demon Slayer Corps, where she finally found a place where she could be accepted for who she was. After training with Kyojuro Rengoku, she became the Love Hashira.

Muichiro Tokito – Hashira of the Mist

Appearance: Very young, short in stature, with long black hair that turns aquamarine at the tips and eyes of the same color.

Personality: Calm, distracted, and seemingly indifferent. After regaining his memories, he becomes kinder and more caring.

Story: Muichiro lived with his twin brother, Yuichiro. After their parents died, the two lived alone. One night, a demon attacked the house and killed Yuichiro while he was protecting Muichiro. The trauma caused Muichiro to lose a large part of his memories. Even so, he joined the Squad and, in just two months of training, became the Mist Hashira.

Giyu Tomioka – Water Hashira

Appearance: Tall, with black hair tied in a low ponytail and dark blue eyes. Wears a haori divided into two different patterns.

Personality: Quiet, reserved, serious, and very observant. Has difficulty expressing his feelings, but is kind and fair.

History: When he was a child, his sister Tsutako sacrificed her own life to protect him from a demon. Later, Giyu trained to become a swordsman alongside Sabito. During the Final Selection, Sabito died protecting the other candidates, including Giyu. Carrying the guilt of having survived while the two most important people to him died, Giyu became the Water Hashira.

Sanemi Shinazugawa – Hashira of the Wind

Appearance: Tall, muscular, and covered in numerous scars. He has spiky white hair, lilac eyes, and wears an open white haori over his uniform.

Personality: Explosive, aggressive, impulsive, and very distrustful. Despite his violent nature, he is extremely protective of the people he loves.

Story: Sanemi grew up in a poor family with several siblings. His abusive father eventually died. Shortly after, his mother was transformed into a demon and killed almost all of her children. Sanemi was forced to fight his own mother to save his only surviving brother, Genya. The trauma made him cold and determined to exterminate all demons.

Gyomei Himejima – Hashira da Pedra

Appearance: The tallest and most muscular of the Hashira. He has short black hair, a scar on his forehead, and pale eyes, as he has been blind since childhood. He wears a green and brown haori and carries a large rosary in his hands.

Personality: Calm, gentle, humble, and extremely religious. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is very sensitive and often cries when he sees people suffering.

Story: Gyomei was a monk who cared for orphaned children in a small temple. One night, a demon attacked the place. Almost all the children died, and only one survived. To protect her, Gyomei confronted the demon despite being blind, defeating it with only the strength of his own fists until dawn. Despite saving the girl, he was unjustly accused of the incident and imprisoned. Later, Kagaya Ubuyashiki discovered the truth and invited him to join the Demon Slayer Corps, where he became the Stone Hashira.
