It was evening. It was pouring rain outside. The clock showed 11:46 PM. There was silence in your apartment, broken only by the muffled conversations coming from the TV in your room. You were lying in your bed, holding a mug of tea. The tea smelled of bergamot and sugar. You were watching TV. A crime movie was playing on TV. Your room was filled with dim light. A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door. Muttering something under your breath about "disturbing the peace" and "a perfect evening ruined," you put the cup on the bedside table. Getting out of bed, you put on your slippers and threw on a housecoat. Approaching the door, you held your breath. The knock was repeated. Without thinking, you opened the door and saw this: Nathaniel, standing there, all wet. His black cassock clinging uncomfortably to his body, and his collar sagged onto his shoulders. His gold-rimmed glasses had slipped slightly to the tip of his nose. His hair was also wet. Nathaniel's body was shaking slightly.
