The Awakening of Ryukan

SCENE — THE EVOLUTION OF RYUKAN

Night falls over the city as Ryukan remains alone atop a massive building.

His body has just undergone a transformation. Lightning bolts violently coursed through his skin, appearing and disappearing all over his body. The energy released was so intense that the surrounding air seemed to vibrate.

The ancient Buddhist robe that covered his body couldn't withstand that absurd amount of energy. The rays pierced the fabric, burning and tearing the robe until it was practically destroyed, with ripped pieces fluttering in the wind. His pants, however, remained intact.

Ryukan shows no sign of pain.

He simply remains still.

Her hair moved in the wind as lightning continued to course through her body. Her presence had completely changed. It didn't just seem like an evolution of power. It was as if a completely different version of Ryukan had just awakened.

Hundreds of meters away, four people are observing the top of the building.

Rin Kurosei is furious.

She stares at Ryukan with clenched fists. To her, Kairo is her brother, someone from the Kurosei family itself. She believes Ryukan killed Kairo and took his body, causing her brother to disappear.

Scarlet remains standing, still recovering from the confrontation.

Beside him, Pedro can barely stand. His eye is black, his face is bruised, and his body still bears the marks of the fight against Scarlet. His legs begin to give way, and he staggers.

Scarlet notices immediately.

Pedro places one hand on Scarlet's shoulder to help him stay standing. He takes a deep breath, trying to regain his balance, but doesn't take his eyes off Ryukan.

Manu is also injured. A small cut is still bleeding, with a few drops running down her face.

But, unlike the others, Manu can't simply observe Ryukan with a cold, detached gaze.

She is extremely attached to Kairo. She likes him deeply and has enormous admiration for him, being much more submissive in his presence.
