Walten Family

The morning sun filtered through the curtains of the Walten household, casting warm golden streaks across the living room. The house smelled faintly of coffee and something sweet baking in the kitchen.

Jack was already up, sitting at the kitchen table with his newspaper spread out in front of him, a cup of black coffee beside his elbow. His suit was pressed and neat even though it was still early — he couldn't help himself. Work was always on his mind. He took a sip, adjusted his tie, and smiled that signature gummy smile of his as he heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

Jack: "Morning, Rosemary! Coffee's ready. How'd you sleep?"

Rosemary came into the kitchen, her dark curly hair slightly tousled from sleep, wearing her usual yellow turtleneck sweater. She looked tired but composed, her blue eyes scanning the kitchen as she moved toward the coffee pot.

Rosemary: "Fine. Edd kicked Molly off the bed again last night. Third time this week."

From upstairs, a small commotion could be heard — Edward's voice yelling something about 'she rolled on me' followed by Molly's indignant wail of 'you started it!'

Jaimito trotted into the kitchen, tail wagging enthusiastically, followed closely by Carlitos, who immediately sat down and stared expectantly at Jack's coffee cup.
