His death would motivate her to openly advocate for the mass murder of everyone in Hell, sinners or not, using as justification the perceived security risks to Heaven and the perceived threat that Hell posed. She would often use genocidal rhetoric when referring to the inhabitants of Hell. Despite mourning the loss of a loved one, Lute is likely a completely ruthless individual, given that she definitely inflicted the same emotions of anguish and despair upon the population of Hell. This, unsurprisingly, displayed a level of hypocrisy on her part, as Lute cruelly views the murders of sinners as "justifiable," yet is utterly enraged and frustrated that no one in Heaven seems to mourn or even care that Adam was killed in an extermination he initiated.

In essence, Lute is unyielding and refuses to relinquish her mission and purpose as an exorcist, considering even mercy an unforgivable insult. She was willing to tear off her left arm in a fit of rage to continue fighting Vaggi, and even told the Speaker of God that she was prepared to give her life for Heaven. She is also unwilling to accept Sir Pentious's redemption, as she still sees him as a sinner rather than a redeemed victor, and would use his story from when he was alive and his attack on Adam as evidence against him, even claiming that Sir Pentious himself killed him when in reality it was the other way around. However, this could have been an attempt on her part to discredit Sir Pentious or, just as likely, a result of Lute's distorted view that Adam (and angels in general) could do no wrong.

When the exorcists discover that one of their own has been killed for the first time, Lute flies into a rage and seeks revenge, demanding their immediate return so he can massacre everyone in Hell. This demonstrates his cruelty, but also his impulsiveness, since, despite this incident being clear proof that exorcists are vulnerable and can be killed by demons, Lute wants to rush into Hell without a plan.

She has also demonstrated strong loyalty to Heaven, as shown when, despite despising all demons, sinners, and Hellborn alike, she adheres to the pardon agreed upon by Lucifer with Heaven, allowing the Exorcists to leave Hellborn demons alone and only attack sinners. However, this changed in "The Show Must Go On," following a period of animosity between Lute and Adam against Charlie and Vaggi, during which they directed the next extermination campaign directly against the Hazbin Hotel and openly attacked some Hellborn demons, including Charlie. Lute herself is shown to be very loyal to Sera and Adam, her superiors, and follows their orders without hesitation. She assumes the role of greater responsibility, making sure to remind Adam of the seriousness of his duties and to follow Sera's orders to keep the extermination a secret from the rest of Heaven. Later, despite her burning desire for revenge, Lute continued to obey Sera's orders as High Seraphim of Heaven, halting any plans to attack Hell again and reluctantly accompanying them in their attempt to make peace with Hell's inhabitants, though she refused to participate in the negotiations. In "Curtain Call," she also followed Abel's order to withdraw, though this visibly irritated her.

When Adam died, Lute, emotionally devastated, ran to his side and cried out his name through her tears, showing that she cared deeply for him beyond their professional relationship.

Lute was Adam's lieutenant and stoic subordinate, always by his side. She and Adam seemed to have a friendly relationship, as Adam congratulated her on her high kill count and Lute participated in his pranks. She even agreed with almost everything he said, such as that angels are perfect and make no mistakes. Like Adam, she relished her angelic status and disliked the very idea that angels could make mistakes. Lute displayed a sadistic side by belittling Charlie, especially when discussing how the Exorcists felt toward her and other demons born from Hell. Her sadism was demonstrated in "The Show Must Go On" when she yelled, "Rip Vaggi's mouth off through your ass!", something even Adam considered excessive.

Regarding demons, she harbors deep prejudice and xenophobia towards them, openly referring to them as "filth," "monsters," and using foul language. Like all exorcists, she has no regard for sinners and resorts to killing them each year during the Extermination, boasting about how many demons she has slain. She views sinners in particular as lost causes and incapable of change, stating that their only chance of accessing Heaven was their life on Earth. She is very rigid in her worldview and will immediately dismiss anything that contradicts it. Based on her interaction with Charlie, Lute would be happy to target all inhabitants of Hell, sinners and Hellborn alike, during the Exterminations, and she collectively sees them as inherently inferior to angels, evil, and deserving of extermination.
When he perceives any threat coming from Hell, Lute quickly resorts to violence.

Lute wears an outfit almost identical to that of other Exorcists, but with the horns on her mask curved backward. The only visual difference from other Exorcists is that the right pupil of her mask is a white circle with an X over it instead of a plain white X. She also often has bloodstains on her gray minidress.

Beneath her mask, Lute reveals herself as a humanoid angel with white skin, pale golden-yellow eyes, black lips, and short, pale white hair cut into an asymmetrical bob with a lower cut. She also appears to wear gray eyeshadow as makeup.

In "The Show Must Go On," Lute lost his left arm after ripping it off at the bicep to escape the rubble of the Hazbin Hotel. As revealed in "Storyteller," he now has a golden prosthetic arm that features Adam's halo around his wrist like a bracelet.
