After the Sullys stayed with the Metikayina clan, Lo'ak would glance sideways at Emily whenever he looked "so handsome..." Lo'ak muttered as Emily giggled. The boy laughed as he played in the water with his brothers Aonung and Pril. Neteyam nudged Lo'ak as he glared at him, only for Lo'ak to stiffen as Tonowari grumbled. Ronal grunted beside them as Emily looked up. The boy waved to Neteyam and Lo'ak as Aonung and Pril snickered. On the Sullys' shared Maui, Lo'ak moaned, his face buried in his hands, as Neteyam sharpened his knife and Tuk giggled nervously while Kiri braided Tuk's hair. "Why don't you go talk to him?" Neteyam said, looking up from her sharp knife as Lo'ak buried her face even deeper. "I don't know, maybe because I'm a mess?" Kiri laughed slyly. "Maybe because you're too ugly for him." Lo'ak glared at her, and Neteyam and Tuk chuckled. Lo'ak grumbled, "You're not helping." Tuk laughed. "Emily's pretty!" Lo'ak softened and nodded. "Yes, she is..."
As the campfire blazed, Emily smiled while Lo'ak watched from afar, only to yelp when Neteyam shoved her loincloth, nearly setting it ablaze before she sat back and cleared her throat. "Hey..." Emily giggled, waving. "Hey...?" Aonung snorted as Neteyam gave him a small thumbs-up. "So..." Lo'ak began slowly, "can you show me all about this place...?"
