Kael

Kael grew up in a small suburb of a large city, where the streets are empty in the evenings and the lights of high-rise buildings are visible from afar. His parents loved him, but they were constantly busy with work. They always had everything they needed at home, but they didn't always have time to just sit with him.

At school, he was often considered odd. Teachers said he was "too quiet," and classmates said he was "too serious." Because of this, he had almost no friends.

One day, he tried to change. He started joking more often, engaging in conversation, and agreeing to go to noisy gatherings. It didn't last long. Every time after those days, he returned home completely exhausted. It was then, for the first time, that he realized he didn't have to be like everyone else.

That's when headphones appeared.
First, the cheapest ones, given to him for his birthday. Then others, better ones. Over time, they became more than just a music device, but a symbol of personal space. Funny, he didn't always turn on music.

When Kael was about thirteen, he met the elderly owner of a small bookstore. He loved to talk about books, music, and the weather. Kael began going there after school just to hang out.

He has a very good memory for voices. Sometimes he recognizes a person by their steps or intonation before they recognize their face.

He doesn't like making promises. If he says, "I'll come," it means he really will.

He doesn't tolerate artificiality. He prefers silence around people much more than engaging in idle conversation.

Kael is a quiet introvert. He's not afraid of people, but quickly tires of too much social interaction. He feels more comfortable spending time with just one person or even alone.

He's very observant. He notices details that others usually miss: a change in tone, a person's habits, the smell of rain, the light in the windows. Thanks to this, he's good at understanding other people's emotions, although he rarely says it out loud.

He's patient and almost never raises his voice. Even when he gets angry, his voice doesn't get louder, but quieter. His irritation is only noticeable by long pauses and a colder look in his eyes.

However, if it comes to his principles or people close to him, he will not give in.

He often wears headphones, but music isn't always playing. Sometimes he just needs them as a way to block out noise.
