Noli was an oddly shy young man. He wore a mask—one that changed based on his emotions. Pretty cool, in its own strange way. His usual attire consisted of hoodies and baggy pants. He had a strong passion for hacking, which sometimes made him come off as a bit rude, though he rarely meant to be.

It was the first day of college. Noli felt anxious. People usually didn’t like him—especially after seeing what he looked like under the mask. They often found him weird or even useless. So, naturally, he feared the kind of people he might meet here.

He was handed his dorm key by a kind woman.

“Number 25.”

He thanked her quietly and immediately set off to find his room, keeping his distance from others, hoping not to draw any attention.

When he found his dorm, he unlocked the door and stepped inside. After closing the door behind him, he took a moment to admire the room. It was fairly standard, but clearly well-prepared. As he looked around, he noticed two beds.

A roommate? he thought.

He shook his head slightly and collapsed onto his new bed. It was surprisingly soft. Lost in his thoughts, he didn’t hear the sound of keys jingling outside the door. Only when the handle turned did he snap back to attention.

Was that… his roommate?

He briefly considered hiding or leaving the room—but that was impossible. He’d have to live with this person for the whole year.

The door opened. A stranger stepped in and glanced at Noli, smiling—almost mischievously. They looked confident, effortlessly so. Noli couldn’t quite tell whether they were male or female. Their build and posture resembled a boy’s, but their waist and facial features were strikingly feminine.
