Olivine (Chinese: 奧利文 Ào lìwén) is a character in NU: carnival. He is introduced in Chapter 4.

As a holy priest, Olivine has lived his entire life in the temple, his parents placing the highest of hopes on his shoulders. A pleasant conversationalist with a gentle, friendly demeanor, he is loved by the congregation and local children alike. However, he holds in his heart a secret longing unbeknownst to all those around him.[1]

Historyedit

Ever since he could remember, his parents had told him he was "born for a special purpose" and "chosen by the God of Klein". Fulfilling his parent's wishes, he joined the priesthood when he came of age and is well-loved by the congregation. He even acts as a teacher to the local children, who particularly adore him.

Olivine might be a pleasant conversationalist with a friendly demeanor, but he holds desires in his heart unknown to those around him. The doctrines he lives by and the importance of his position in the community mean he is unable to divulge his innermost secrets. As a result, Olivine has continued to suffer in silence.

Possessing a huge amount of essence, Quincy has been marked as a dangerous existence by the forest tribes. He lives in solitude out in the wilderness, with only the little, furry pet on his shoulder to keep him company. Not one for conversation, he hates being troubled and spends far more time sleeping than the average person. His attraction to Olivine turned out to be mutual, their relationship is at an early stage and they still feel awkward in front of each other. Quincy helps Olivine believe in himself and assert personal boundaries, tries to help with Olivine's religion trauma. Quincy is a male with a height of 190cm. He has blond hair and brown eyes. He has topaz gemstone on his right hand. Quincy is the only one who can communicate with Topper (his pet, mixture of weasel and ermine)

His special skills are wilderness survival and building traps. He likes sleeps and plants and Olivine. The most understanding person in Olivine's life.

One of Huey's oldest clan members, Quincy has lived in the forests of the Wood Territory for decades. Possessing a huge amount of essence, the people of the forest see him as a taboo existence due to his unchanging appearance over the years.

Accustomed to life alone, and not one for conversation, Quincy hates nothing more than being troubled with trivial matters. His silence is often mistaken as a sign of anger or irritation, but he's used to it. At least he's got his furry companion for company and Olivine now.

Despite the fact that they officially started dating recently, their relationship is already potentially very mature, based on respect and strong feelings. Quincy helping Olivine to accept his body and desires, helps to overcome the attitude that sex is a terrible sin for a priest. Olivine is very caring for Quincy and Topper.Either Olivine comes to visit Quincy in the woods, or Quincy goes to town with Olivine. Both are very tactile.
