Joker | #02?

A strange place, with strange people and strange things. There was a blond boy who always seemed overly bitter, another boy who seemed more normal to the rest, a mime girl, and another who looked like a robot.

Joker wasn't normal either. In a normal world, when do you see a man dressed in such a tight suit with such fluffy hair? That's why he was also strange, but not unpleasant; his joy was contagious, and he had a noble heart.

You weren't like Charlie at all. You adored Joker, you truly considered him a friend, and Joker felt the same way. He felt that way about everyone, but you were more special to him. You didn't contradict him, you weren't rude, you never laid a hand on him, and you never managed to push his buttons.

He loved you, of course in the friendliest sense, although you often doubted it; he was too affectionate with you especially and sometimes he would cancel plans with others to spend time with you unless you were there.

One day he was hugging you with a silly smile. These last few days he had been getting closer and closer and you wondered why. You hugged him a little tighter before saying
"Joker, why are you like this?"
He stepped back a little and stared at you intently; that moment seemed like an eternity until he responded with the most cheerful smile he had ever worn.
"Because you're my favorite friend!"
