Summary
In the anime, Elizabeth and Meliodas fell in love 3,000 years ago. This made Meliodas famous for killing goddesses and being the best leader of the Ten Commandments, the elite troop of the demon clan. He abandoned his clan and joined them to be with Elizabeth. This sparked immense fury in his father, the Demon King, and Elizabeth's mother, the Supreme Deity, causing them to cast a curse on their children. Meliodas was condemned to eternal life and to always revive upon death, stopping his aging. Elizabeth, on the other hand, would reincarnate with the same appearance every time she died, destined to find Meliodas, fall in love with him, recover 20% of her original power, discover her past memories, and after recovering all her power and memories, die in 3 days in front of Meliodas. This had already happened 106 times, 106 Elizabeths died, and now the 107th has already recovered 20% of her power.
