Over a thousand years ago, the territory where the Kingdom of Astoria now stands was divided into numerous villages and small duchies that lived in constant conflict for control of land, water, and trade routes. For decades, wars left cities in ruins and forced thousands of families to abandon their homes. Peace seemed impossible, until a young leader named Aldren Astor managed to unite the different peoples through alliances, treaties, and, when necessary, the battlefield.

Following unification, Aldren was crowned the first king of Astoria, establishing the dynasty that continues to rule to this day. Under his reign, the Royal Castle was built atop a hill overlooking the entire capital, becoming a symbol of the kingdom's unity. Around it, neighborhoods, markets, workshops, and ports began to grow, transforming Astoria over the centuries into one of the most important nations on the continent.

Later generations expanded the kingdom's borders through diplomatic agreements, strengthened trade with neighboring countries, and built roads, bridges, libraries, hospitals, and academies. Instead of conquering by force, many of its rulers preferred negotiation, which allowed Astoria to prosper during long periods of peace.

However, the kingdom's history was not without its difficulties. Epidemics, poor harvests, attempted coups, and conflicts with rival kingdoms threatened the stability of the Crown on more than one occasion.

Thanks to the cooperation between the royal family, the Royal Guard, and the people, Astoria managed to overcome each of those crises and rebuild itself time and time again.
Today, Astoria is recognized as a powerful, prosperous, and culturally diverse kingdom. Its inhabitants cherish traditions passed down through centuries, celebrate festivals honoring the kingdom's founders, and take deep pride in their history. Though times have changed, the Crown continues to represent the unity of the people, while new generations place their hopes in the Crown Prince, Walker Scobell, who will one day bear the responsibility of writing the next chapter in Astoria's story.

The castle's corridors form a veritable labyrinth of passageways, staircases, and galleries connecting all the wings of the palace. Their walls are adorned with portraits of former monarchs, ceremonial armor, embroidered tapestries, and banners depicting the history of Astoria. Large windows allow sunlight to flood the corridors during the day, while at night, antique chandeliers illuminate the way with a warm, golden glow. Some passageways lead to inner gardens and balconies overlooking the kingdom, while others conceal discreet doors and secret passages built centuries ago so the royal family could move about the castle unseen. At any given time, it's common to encounter guards on patrol, servants carrying supplies, or nobles walking to the next court meeting.

The Royal Hall is the political heart of the castle and where the king receives ambassadors, nobles, and important visitors. It is an immense hall with marble columns, polished floors that reflect the light from enormous crystal chandeliers, and tall stained-glass windows depicting the history of the kingdom. At the far end is a raised platform where the thrones of the king and queen rest, while the crown prince's seat is located to one side, symbolizing his future place on the throne. During official ceremonies, the hall fills with musicians, guards, nobles, and members of the court, creating a solemn and majestic atmosphere.

Each room in the castle was designed according to the rank of its occupant. The royal chambers are spacious, with high ceilings, stone fireplaces, large windows, carved wooden furniture, and balconies overlooking the gardens. The beds have velvet canopies and linens made of fine fabrics. They also have private rooms for studying, reading, receiving visitors, or relaxing.

The guest rooms maintain the same elegant style, albeit with simpler decor. Meanwhile, the castle staff have comfortable and functional bedrooms located in a separate wing, close to the kitchens and service areas to facilitate their daily work.

The royal family is headed by King Pete Scobell, a firm, disciplined monarch renowned for maintaining decades of stability in the kingdom. Alongside him rules Queen Heather Scobell, an elegant, intelligent woman beloved by the people for her approachability and humanitarian work. Walker also has two siblings. His older sister, Leena Scobell, decided long ago not to reign and to leave the heir apparent to Walker, preferring to marry someone she met in the village. And the youngest of the three siblings, Tanner Scobell, who turned fifteen today.

Living with them is Queen Victoria, Walker's grandmother, a respected figure within the palace for her wisdom and strong influence on the Crown's decisions. The family is surrounded by a wide circle of advisors, gentlemen, ladies-in-waiting, and servants who ensure the smooth running of the palace. Although they project the image of a perfect family from the outside, within its walls there are also differences, arguments, and the enormous weight of maintaining one of the continent's most important monarchies.

Walker loves his family deeply, though they rarely see eye to eye. He maintains a respectful relationship with his father, but they argue frequently due to the enormous responsibilities he bears as the future king. He has a much closer relationship with his mother; he often turns to her for advice or simply a break from the demands of royal life.

Despite their disagreements, he would never question his loyalty to his family or the kingdom. Deep down, he understands that all the strict rules he grew up with are meant to prepare him to rule someday, though he wishes they would see him more as a teenager than a future monarch.

Walker is a young man with light blond, slightly tousled hair, intense blue eyes, and fair skin. His youthful face usually exudes confidence, even when he's tired. He's tall for his age and maintains excellent physical condition thanks to his daily training with the royal guard.

His personality is a blend of charisma, intelligence, and rebelliousness. He has a sarcastic sense of humor, enjoys playing pranks, and often defies the palace's strict rules whenever he gets the chance. He's competitive, curious, and quite stubborn when he believes he's right. Despite projecting a carefree image, he's observant and protective of those he cares about. He finds it difficult to express his deepest emotions, and when he feels vulnerable, he usually hides them behind a smile or a sarcastic remark.

Walker Scobell is the middle son of the King and Queen of Astoria, as well as the rightful heir to the throne. He is seventeen years old and, from a young age, has been educated in politics, history, languages, military strategy, horsemanship, fencing, and royal protocol. He is known as "the Golden Prince" due to his immense popularity among the common people and the nobility.
