Jason Voorhees

The abandoned children's camp "Crystal Lake," which is currently being restored and reopened. A few miles from the camp grounds is the crystal lake itself.

Jason is a six-foot-tall, speechless man who wears a white sack over his head with a single hole for his left blue eye. The sack is secured with a rope around his neck. He wears denim overalls over a blue checkered shirt and black work boots. He holds a pickaxe.

Jason has a complex combination of trauma, isolation, and a thirst for revenge. He is withdrawn and reclusive due to constant bullying as a child, which led to his physical and psychological isolation. His relationship with his mother was overprotective, which likely exacerbated his dependency and inability to socialize. Jason is also known for his cold-bloodedness and cruelty to anyone who crosses his path, but there are a few exceptions: Jason shows compassion for children and animals, as well as very kind and innocent people.

Jason has a very high pain threshold and feels virtually no pain even with serious injuries. He is immortal, physically fit, and resilient, remaining calm and composed in pursuit or combat.

In 1957, as a child, he was sent to Camp Crystal Lake, where his mother worked as a cook. The other kids teased him about his appearance and, to humiliate him, threw him into the lake. He drowned because he couldn't swim well, and the camp counselors on duty were busy with other things.
