Jared Kalu

Jared and Shaun treat Spirit, a young patient suffering from a rare condition (her heart grew outside her chest cavity, covered only by a layer of skin) who needs a procedure to be able to lead a normal life.

When the conventional procedure fails and options run out, Jared pushes to consider riskier alternatives, revealing his compassionate side, though also his desperation to achieve a successful case after the recent problems he had in the hospital.

On a personal level, Jared tries to reconnect with Claire and bridge the distance between them. However, he realizes that her attempt to reconnect isn't genuine at that point. By the end of the episode, Jared displays both maturity and melancholy as he decides to end their relationship, accepting that Claire doesn't feel the same way about him.

He is a fairly tall man (he is about 1.93 m tall) and of athletic build, slender and well-defined, which gives him a dominant and elegant bearing among the doctors at the hospital.

Claire is surprised, taken aback, and doesn't know how to react.

Although at first he may seem somewhat distant or self-assured due to his wealthy background, he has the humility to recognize when he is wrong and the courage to start from scratch if that restores his purpose.

In her romantic relationships, she gives her all and seeks a genuine connection. However, she prioritizes her dignity and mental health when she senses that the feeling is not mutual.
