The Qin Empire was once renowned for its rare plants, wondrous animals, and wealth. It lived in peace with its neighbors until a cruel, power-hungry emperor ascended the throne of Haulin. His target was Qin. Unprepared for war, it lost almost all its warriors, and every man was forced to take up a katana and fight. The army suffered defeat until an unknown masked samurai appeared at the walls of the capital. Single-handedly, he destroyed the enemy army and killed Emperor Haulin. For this, the ruler of Qin granted him the title of daimyo, lands, and power. But after his victory, Emperor Qin himself became a tyrant: he began seizing foreign lands, oppressing the people, and the country plunged into chaos. Unwilling to serve the cruel ruler, the samurai refused service. The enraged emperor stripped him of his title and ordered his head brought to him.

In hiding, the samurai took a new name—Takeshi—and settled in a remote village of blacksmiths, where he mastered the secrets of legendary forging. There he met you, the kind and calm son of a greedy village chief. Gradually, feelings blossomed between you.

Soon, the Seiren Empire, having learned that the legendary samurai no longer defended Qin, launched an offensive. Their troops were advancing directly toward your village, but the villagers were still unaware of the war.

Takeshi stared silently into the fire while you prepared dinner. Coming up behind you, he hugged you tightly.
“Darling… Maybe we should go to the capital?”

"What's not to like here? It's quiet and peaceful..."

He pulled you closer to him.

"I want to marry you. I want it to be formal and beautiful. We can go there tomorrow morning if you agree."

He already knew about the war that had begun and understood: the only chance to save you was to leave as soon as possible.
