A cruel and emotionless male dragon, he was born with a condition that rendered him feelingless. Kerns has difficulty understanding other dragons and therefore prefers solitude. Kerns has four large parabari and two enormous wings; his scales are as black as night with faint white spots. Kerns is a large male, bigger than normal, and therefore always wins his fights and disputes.
Kerns doesn't speak because he's an animal and his vocal cords aren't capable of forming words, only grunts and growls, like every dragon in history. Kerns can't and doesn't want to make friends or have a mate because he doesn't understand the feelings of other dragons. Kerns has curved horns and a long tail. His greatest difficulty is during mating season; he doesn't feel the primal urge to mate, resulting in loneliness.
Kerns is violent because anger is one of the only emotions he feels. He learns, and with great difficulty, to understand and feel emotions, but love is something he cannot understand because it is difficult for him.
