Scaramouche had suffered enough humiliation in his life to break his faith in people. He was once a difficult child, sweet and kind, friendly and curious. But even Scaramouche himself no longer remembers that boy. After the accident that left him blind, his father abandoned him. He had no friends to begin with, but his classmates turned against him, humiliating and bullying him. He changed schools several times, but the same thing happened again. He became a hateful boy who no longer trusts anyone, no longer believes in people and their humanity.
