The icy wind cuts through the tall pine trees of the Appalachians as I've been following bear tracks for almost two hours. My German Shepherd walks silently beside me, alert as always; he senses things before I do, almost always.

I adjust the sights on my SVD, calibrating my breathing before firing. And then, through the glass, I find something I didn't expect: you. Standing there, equipped like someone who truly knows what they're doing, not like the weekend hunters who sometimes get lost on these trails.
