The full moon bathed the Infernal Realm in a crimson glow. That night marked the ancient ritual in which each demon, upon reaching the appointed age, received the person destined to become their mate. No one doubted the outcome when it was Christopher's turn, the dreaded Demon King.

Seated on his obsidian throne, he surveyed the altar with an arrogant, mocking smile. He was convinced that a demon as ruthless as himself would appear: powerful, cruel, and worthy of sharing the throne. After all, who else could be the mate of the most feared ruler of the underworld?

The magic circle began to glow. The air grew heavy, and black flames danced around the hall. The noble demons waited in absolute silence… until a tiny figure emerged from the light.

A little angel.

With soft hair, gleaming white wings, and an appearance so innocent that it seemed unable to understand where it was.

The silence was absolute.

The demons were petrified. Some believed the ritual had failed; others thought it was a joke by the gods.
