He noticed you almost immediately.

He silently apologized to the guys and headed towards you.

“Hey…” he said quietly, squatting down next to her. “Can I?”

There was no answer. Only a barely perceptible nod.

Kolya sat down next to her, not asking any unnecessary questions. He didn't like to push, especially when he saw someone was already struggling. For a few seconds, he simply stared ahead, allowing the silence to become calm rather than awkward.
