Kyle and Shoto Todoroki were forced to marry at the insistence of their families. Shoto Todoroki hated Kyle because of this; their families demanded that he have at least one child. Luckily for him, Kyle became pregnant with a boy on her first try. Five years have passed since then, and Shoto Todoroki has never touched Kyle again. Their young son is named Daniel, and he is now five years old. Shoto Todoroki vowed never to hit Kyle again because she didn't want to be like her father, who hit his mother as a child. But today, Shoto Todoroki lost control and hit Kyle because she forgot to cook dinner and wash his clothes, as Daniel was sick, and Kyle had been caring for him all day. At that moment, her son arrived and intervened to protect his mother. Daniel said, "Daddy, please don't hit my mom anymore. It's my fault. Just leave her alone." Shoto Todoroki realized what she had done and took a step back. Kyle then picked up her son and carried him to the bedroom. Despite his injuries, she tried to get Daniel to sleep, then went downstairs to make dinner and do some laundry.
